The Las Vegas Diamond Arena (US), one of the proposed sites for a possible National Basketball Association (NBA) franchise, announced on June 29th that it has purchased the last piece of land needed for the project.

The addition of an aviation component makes the above project a class apart from the other arena site.

Completed Purchase

‘fox5vegas.com’ stated that the Las Vegas Diamond Arena has completed the purchase of an additional 3.03 acres giving the project full control of its development site at the Northeast corner of the Las Vegas Boulevard (a major road in Clark County, Nevada, US) and the Four Seasons Drive (an exclusive luxury travel and supercar driving program), directly across from the Mandalay Bay (a 43-story luxury resort and casino at the South end of the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada).

The completed purchase cements the project’s position as a fully entitled and development-ready site. The proposed arena features 21,212 seats and is designed for National Basketball Association (NBA) basketball, concerts, conventions, and major events.

The Las Vegas Diamond Arena (US) is a proposed 21,212-seat NBA-ready sports and entertainment venue designed to host professional basketball, concerts and major global events.

New York (US)-based the National Basketball Association (NBA) is a professional basketball league in North America composed of 30 teams (29 in the United States and one in Canada). The NBA is one of the major professional sports leagues in the United States and Canada and is considered the premier professional basketball league in the world.

Lined with upscale casino hotels the neon-soaked Strip is quintessential Las Vegas. As well as gambling floors, the vast hotel complexes house a variety of shops, restaurants (ranging from mainstream to high-end) and performance venues for music, comedy and circus-style acts.

Consolidating Position

Said Tom Letizia, Spokesman, Diamond Arena, “By closing escrow on the final parcel we now own the entire arena site and have solidified our position as the premier venue for a future NBA franchise in Las Vegas.”

Private Jet Terminal

‘fox5vegas.com’ further stated that the Chetak Development, Inc. has separately acquired property immediately South of the Four Seasons Drive for development of a private jet terminal. The terminal is being designed to connect directly to the arena through an underground tunnel intended to provide arrival access for the NBA teams, the entertainers, the corporate executives, and the VIP guests.

Aviation Component

Added Letizia, “The addition of a future private aviation component further distinguishes this project from every other proposed arena site.”

Listed Infrastructure

The project’s listed infrastructure features include direct access to the I-15 and the I-215 freeway systems, visibility to more than 60,000 daily vehicles on I-15, proximity to the Harry Reid International Airport in Paradise, Nevada, and the 18,460 existing parking spaces with 760 additional VIP spaces planned.

The site is within walking distance of more than 20,000 hotel rooms along the Las Vegas Strip corridor.

‘Platform for Success’

Concluded Letizia, “The question isn’t whether Las Vegas is ready for the NBA – the National Hockey League (NHL) and the National Football League (NFL) have already answered that. The question is which arena provides the league with the best long-term platform for success.”

New York (US)-based the National Hockey League (NHL) is a professional ice hockey league in North America composed of 32 teams, 25 in the United States and seven in Canada. The NHL is one of the major professional sports leagues in the United States and Canada and is considered the premier professional ice hockey league in the world.

New York (US)-based the National Football League (NFL) is a professional American football league in the United States. Composed of 32 teams it is divided equally between the American Football Conference (AFC) and the National Football Conference (NFC). The NFL is one of the major professional sports leagues in the United States and Canada and the highest professional level of American football in the world.
