Pittsburgh Pirates opened Legacy Hall at PNC Park Image: MLB and Pittsburgh Pirates

The Major League Baseball (MLB) team Pittsburgh Pirates have unveiled new memorabilia display and event space within their home arena – the PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (US).
 

Starting Point

In addition to being accessible on gamedays the Legacy Hall will serve as the starting point for tours of the PNC Park.

‘CBS NEWS’ stated that the Legacy Hall, which is located next to the left field entrance of the PNC Park along the Federal Street, is a new space in the stadium that features a large collection of the Pittsburgh Pirates memorabilia along with an event space that can accommodate up to 150 people.

The Pittsburgh Pirates are an American professional baseball team based in Pittsburgh (US). The Pittsburgh Pirates compete in the Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the National League Central Division.

The 38,747-seat PNC Park is a baseball stadium on the North Shore of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (US). It serves as the home ballpark of the Major League Baseball (MLB) team Pittsburgh Pirates.

‘CBS NEWS’ further stated that the Pittsburgh Pirates said that the Legacy Hall will be open to all ticketed fans on gamedays as long as the space isn’t being used for a private event.
 

Memorabilia Items

The memorabilia items on display inside the Legacy Hall include a section honoring the Hall of Famer Dave Parker, a wall of autographed baseballs, the original home plate from the now-demolished 35,000-capacity Forbes Field in Pittsburgh, a model display of the now-demolished 59,000-capacity Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh, and more.
 

Event-Meeting Space

Exulted Pittsburgh Pirates President Travis Williams, “We are excited to open a new space that will house and highlight many artifacts and select artwork from our organization’s rich history. The Legacy Hall is not just an area to showcase memorabilia, it is also one of the more unique event and meeting spaces in the city, and we look forward to seeing its many uses.”
