Allegiant Stadium (US) staged their maiden Gridiron Pitch – a repeat event that will be part of a Diverse Supplier Engagement series – on March 11th and March 12th, 2021.

A news release sent out by Allegiant Stadium informed that the Diverse Supplier Engagement Series is part of Allegiant Stadium’s community engagement initiatives. The series designed by experts provide a platform to the venue and its partners (procurement professionals and contractors) to engage with local, small and diverse vendors keeping in mind future business opportunities and/or mentorship.

The 65,000-capacity Allegiant Stadium is a domed stadium located in Paradise, Nevada, United States. It serves as the home stadium for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL) and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Rebels college football team.

Sitting next to the famed Las Vegas Strip, Allegiant Stadium is a global events destination and a plush and expansive entertainment venue in ‘Sin City’. Home of the iconic Raiders and UNLV Football, Allegiant Stadium is ideally located for both visitors and locals. The futuristic facility is fully enclosed and climate-controlled with a capacity of up to 65,000. Allegiant Stadium stages big-ticket events including concerts and sporting events such as the Pac-12 Championship Game and Las Vegas Bowl.

As defined in Nevada’s Community Benefits Plan, Allegiant Stadium has accorded top priority in exceeding the community engagement standards.

Following thorough examination of their proficiency, 31 participating vendors were strategically matched with procurement professionals for the Gridiron Pitch. The future procurement needs for each department were then carefully paired so that it reaped maximum rewards for both presenters and spectators.

Vendors were provided an opportunity to make a strong pitch for their products and/or services along with showcasing samples to staff members and engage in meaningful dialogs as regards the specific needs of the spiffy stadium.

“Representatives from MYS were proud to again witness, firsthand, Allegiant Stadium’s commitment and support of the Las Vegas community. The careful consideration for local, small, and diverse businesses during the planning and execution of the Gridiron Pitch event was not only generous, but moreover signals the rebirth of regional economic opportunity and fosters hope at a time that we need it most,” commented Myisha Williams, President and Managing Partner, MYS Film.

Future events will include but are not limited to, webinars, general information and Q&A sessions, supplier showcases, and more.

“We are excited and honored to create programs that will produce years of partnership opportunities for local, small and diverse businesses in Las Vegas,” stated Neumiia Duncan-Reed, Director, Human Resources and Community Affairs at Allegiant Stadium, ASM Global.
