Dive into the virtual reality world of Bundesliga giant FC Bayern Munich (Germany).

How does it feel to stand on the turf at the Allianz Arena? What’s it like training with four-time ‘World’s Best Goalkeeper’ Manuel Neuer? How did this special club come into being?

The ‘FC Bayern Munich’ stated that step into the virtual world of the record German champions and marvel at the Allianz Arena from a player’s perspective, or travel back in time and experience FC Bayern from its initial days (the club was founded on February 27th, 1900) to the treble-winning season, the most successful year in the club’s history.

FC Bayern Munich is a German professional sports club based in Munich, Bavaria (Germany). It is best known for its professional football team, which plays in the Bundesliga, the top tier of the German football league system. It is the most successful club in German football history, having won a record 31 national titles, including nine consecutively since 2013, and 20 national cups, along with numerous European honors.

The Allianz Arena is a football stadium in Munich, Bavaria (Germany) with a 70,000 seating capacity for international matches and 75,000 for domestic matches. Widely known for its exterior of inflated ETFE plastic panels, it is the first stadium in the world with a full colour changing exterior. It serves as the home arena of FC Bayern Munich.

The ‘FC Bayern Munich’ further stated that but that’s not all: At regular intervals over the coming months, every historic milestone will be made available to fans along with many other areas on planet FC Bayern. Mixed zone

The Mixed Zone serves as the main menu of the FC Bayern VR Experience. From here fans can go into a training session on the Allianz Arena pitch or enter the Erlebniswelt. They will be greeted by FC Bayern stars such as Thomas Müller and the club mascot Berni. Further areas are in development and will be continuously added to the Mixed Zone, so keep an eye out for them.
 

Training session

Imagine you’re standing on the pitch of one of the largest football stadiums in Germany, the Allianz Arena. It’s been faithfully reproduced with the background noise of a home match added in to give fans a true flavor of the matchday atmosphere. Anyone who’s ever been to the Allianz Arena will be amazed at how it feels to experience this virtually.

Take the chance to have a personal training session with Manuel Neuer, one of the best goalkeepers in the world. He’ll start you off with a heading drill. As the difficulty level increases you’ll realize there’s a lot to learn and master. Steer the ball into different parts of the goal to get maximum points. Aim past obstacles or head the ball through rings to score bonus points.
 

Erlebniswelt

The virtual Erlebniswelt contains the most important milestones in the club’s history. The first and most important of those is the founding of the club in February 1900.

Discover the ‘Café Gisela’, where the founding members signed the charter. Since the café no longer exists, it’s been reproduced using photographs in order to bring this important place in the history of FC Bayern Munich back to life.

Avatar creation and audio processing

The FC Bayern players and its mascot Berni were scanned with the 3D Instagraph Pro before being animated by means of state-of-the-art motion capture technology at the OnPoint Studios.

Sound engineers have recorded the environment at the Allianz Arena during matches to simulate authentic ambient noise so that fans get a realistic stadium experience.

  • USB ports: 1 USB 3.0 port + 2 USB 2.0 ports.
