The Maryland Stadium Authority has launched an invitation to bid on the next phase of work on the M&T Bank Stadium renovation project.

Maryland Stadium Authority said the call is for general contractors, construction management and trades to step up for renovation work on the domestic hotwater system at the stadium.

Gilbane Building Company, along with Corenic Construction, in its role as Construction Manager, has invited interested trade contractors to bid on bid packages including demolition, masonry, drywall, general trades and mechanical work.

The Baltimore Ravens are a professional American football team based in Baltimore (US). The Ravens compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member of the American Football Conference North Division. The team plays its home games at M&T Bank Stadium.

The 71,008-capacity M&T Bank Stadium is a multipurpose stadium located in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It has been the home of the Baltimore Ravens since its opening in 1998.

M&T Bank Stadium is undergoing a multi-year, roughly $500 million, three-phase renovation (wrapping up in 2026) to transform the fan experience and create a year-round destination.

Key upgrades include a heavily renovated North Plaza with a 3,000-person concert venue, new “Flock Shop” retail stores, field-level end-zone clubs, and upgraded premium suites.

The next phase of the M&T Bank Stadium renovation project has already begun and includes necessary infrastructure improvements, and ongoing transformation of the North Plaza with the new Northwest Tailgate & Concert Venue and extension of the North Upper Concourse.

Flockyard hospitality

Meanwhile, the Ravens are selling hospitality outside of M&T Bank Stadium at the under-construction The Flockyard modular three-story structure which has loft suites, a rooftop area and a courtyard.

The $7 million Flockyard assembly project should be ready for when K-pop sensation BTS visits M&T Bank Stadium on August 10-11, an example of how the permanent, fully permitted structure will see use year-round.

The suites, featuring TVs and upscale furnishings, open two-and-a-half hours before kickoff on game days.

“We wanted this to feel almost like a suite experience, only on the outside,” said Rich Tamayo, Ravens SVP/stadium operations and fan experience.

The Flockyard, along with the two-story Miller Lite Gatehouse and Roof Deck, have replaced what in the past was a tented village used for pre- and postgame hospitality.

The tents were sold on a per-game basis, but The Flockyard’s permanence means it could be offered as an entry-level premium product sold on an annual basis.
