Bovingdons into Oak View Group family fold

OVG acquired premium hospitality provider Bovingdons Image: Oak View Group

The Oak View Group (OVG) (US) is beefing up its international hospitality profile after acquiring the premium UK-based hospitality provider Bovingdons, the first international operator to join OVG Hospitality’s portfolio.

‘Arena Digest’ stated that the acquisition continues OVG’s investments in the live events space. Following the launch of OVG Hospitality in 2021 with the acquisition of Spectra, and most recently, the acquisition of Spectrum in North America, which expands OVG into non-traditional areas such as major sporting events and music festivals.

The OVG Oak View Group, LLC is an American Global Advisory, Development and Investment Company for Sports and Live Entertainment industries. Based in Los Angeles (US), it was formed on November 16th, 2015 by Tim Leiweke and his business partner, Irving Azoff. Leiweke is the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

‘Arena Digest’ further stated that as a component of the acquisition, OVG will take a majority stake and full control of London-based Bovingdons. One of United Kingdom’s leading providers of catering and venue management services, the private company currently services a portfolio of venues including Surrey’s Nonsuch Mansion (a historic house located within Nonsuch Park on the border of Greater London and North Surrey, England), Fulham Palace in Fulham, London, and Grand Junction (art center) in Paddington, London.

As the first international operator to join OVG Hospitality’s growing portfolio, the acquisition will enable Bovingdons to expand OVG’s global portfolio of world-class venues and clients.

The execution of the deal for OVG was led by Keegan McDonald, Vice-President of Business Development, Michael Moschella, Vice- President of Business Development, and Joe Donohue, Associate of Business Development. The management team for Bovingdons was led by Director Jay Burgesson-Carter, alongside Theo Wieder and Adam Karni-Cohen for Thwack Partners.
