The Major League Baseball (MLB) team Atlanta Braves and the global hospitality and entertainment company Delaware North recently announced a multiyear extension of their food and beverage (F&B) partnership at the former’s home ground – the Truist Park in Atlanta (US) – continuing their collaboration through the 2036 Major League Baseball (MLB) season.

‘Delaware North’ stated that the above agreement builds on a relationship that began during the Braves’ final season at the 49,586-capacity Turner Field in Atlanta in 2016 and carried through the opening of the Truist Park in 2017. As part of the extension Delaware North and the Braves will continue to invest in operational enhancements and fan-facing amenities throughout the ballpark.

The Atlanta Braves are an American professional baseball team based in the Atlanta Metropolitan area (US). The Braves compete in the Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the National League (NL) East Division.

The 41,108-capacity Truist Park is a baseball stadium in the Atlanta Metropolitan area approximately 10 miles (16 km) Northwest of downtown Atlanta in the unincorporated community of Cumberland, in Cobb County, Georgia (US). Opened in 2017, it is the ballpark of the Major League Baseball (MLB) team Atlanta Braves.

Buffalo (US)-based Delaware North is a global leader in the hospitality and entertainment industry. The company annually serves more than a half-billion guests across three continents including at the high-profile sports venues, the airports, the national and State parks, the restaurants, the resorts, the hotels, and the casinos. Building on more than a century of enduring partnerships and a commitment to local communities and sustainability the Delaware North’s vision is to delight guests by creating the world’s best experiences today while reimagining tomorrow.

‘Delaware North’ further stated that the Patina Group, the premium lifestyle division of Delaware North and a recognized leader in the restaurant and catering industry, will play a key role in an integrated hospitality approach. Operating alongside Delaware North’s Sportservice Division the Patina Group will jointly oversee the management of the stadium’s premium spaces – including the suites, the clubs and the restaurants.

The Patina Group – which has catered events such as the Ryder Cup (a biennial Men’s professional golf competition between teams from the United States and Europe) and the PGA Championship (one of golf’s four major championships) and operates highly acclaimed restaurants in destinations such as the Walt Disney World, New York City, Los Angeles, and Boston – is developing a full-service concept in The Battery Atlanta. The concept will be announced in the coming months joining Delaware North’s existing lineup in The Battery which includes Good Game, Blue Moon Brewery & Grill and the H&F Burger and foodservice at the Coca-Cola Roxy.

Shared Derek Schiller, Atlanta Braves President-cum-head honcho, “Over the last 10 years we’ve worked with the Delaware North to elevate the fan experience through high-quality, locally inspired food options. They share our vision of perfecting the ballpark classics while also offering innovative premium dishes and putting a creative Braves Country spin on the fan favorites. I’m excited about this extension and expansion of our partnership which will enable us to further leverage Delaware North and Patina Group’s expertise to provide best-in-class food options for every guest in The Battery Atlanta and the Truist Park.

Throughout their partnership the Braves and the Delaware North have prioritized the local flavor and community engagement. That includes the recent debut of the Outfield Market, an eight-stall food hall featuring a rotating lineup of Atlanta-based culinary talent. Among the vendors is Giving Kitchen, a nonprofit that supports the foodservice workers and showcases dishes from some of the City’s most distinctive chefs.

Maintained Jamie Obletz, Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer, Delaware North, “We’re incredibly proud to extend our partnership with the Atlanta Braves through the 2036 season. From the final season at the Turner Field to the opening of the Truist Park it’s been an honor to be part of the Braves’ journey. This extension is a testament to the trust and collaboration we’ve built together. We’re excited to continue investing in innovative, fan-focused food and beverage experiences that reflect the energy and excellence of the Braves Country.”
