Arena Brno naming rights Czech Republik Image: T-Mobile

The new multipurpose arena in Brno (Czech Republic) will bear the name T-Mobile ARENA.

‘PRAGUEDAILY.NEWS’ stated that the mobile operator will become the naming partner of the City’s most modern events venue which is currently under construction on the Brno Exhibition Centre grounds and is scheduled to open in Autumn 2026.

Bellevue (US)-based T-Mobile US, Inc. is America’s supercharged Uncarrier delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. The T-Mobile’s customers benefit from its unmatched combination of value and quality, unwavering obsession with offering them the best possible service experience and undisputable drive for disruption that creates competition and innovation in wireless and beyond.

‘PRAGUEDAILY.NEWS’ further stated that the new multipurpose arena in Brno, one of the largest ongoing hall projects in the Czech Republic, will be named the T-Mobile ARENA. The relevant contract was signed recently directly at the construction site in the presence of the media by representatives of the City-owned company ARENA BRNO a.s. (the project and company name for the multifunctional arena being built) and the mobile operator T-Mobile Czech Republic. The arena is being built on the grounds of the Brno Exhibition Centre with construction having started in September 2023. The opening is planned for Autumn 2026.

An initial two-year sponsorship agreement with the naming partner T-Mobile has been concluded with an option to extend for another year. The telecommunications company is providing state-of-the-art infrastructure to ensure reliable connectivity, secure operation and support for digital services – while the T-Mobile customers will benefit from exclusive advantages and promotions.

The construction project, with an investment volume of almost five billion crowns, will accommodate up to 13,300 visitors and include 1,300 parking spaces. Around 100 events are planned annually of which more than 60 percent will be concerts by national and international artistes, family shows and other cultural formats.

A large part of the program will consist of sporting events. The arena will become the new home of the ice hockey club HC Kometa Brno making it the second-largest ice hockey arena in the country.”

HC Kometa Brno is a professional ice hockey team based in Brno, Czech Republic. They play in the Czech Extraliga, the highest level of the ice hockey league in the Czech Republic.

T-Mobile also emphasizes the added value of the partnership.

Put in Petr Kratochvíl, Chairman, Board of ARENA BRNO, “We have already received commitments for several European Championships and World Championships.”

Added Petar Babić, Sales Director for Private Customers and a member of the Management Board of T-Mobile Czech Republic, “We see the arena as a gateway to extraordinary experiences that combine sport, culture and entertainment. Our customers can look forward to exclusive benefits – including priority ticket sales through Magenta Moments, prize draws, dedicated areas within the arena and much more, which we will announce before the opening.”

The investors behind this ambitious project include, in addition to the City of Brno, three Municipal companies: Arena Brno, Brno Communications and Teplárny Brno (major heating company in Brno). Arena Brno will own the hall and manage its operations during the first years.
