The Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. (US) is set to bring a new space to the venue as part of the ongoing renovations.

‘yahoo!sports’ stated that ‘The Halo’ will bring a new experience for the fans and the visitors for the 2027-2028 seasons and will seat nearly 4,500 venue guests with a broader range of seating, clubs and social experiences for the season ticket holders, select ticket tiers small groups, and the suite owners.

The 20,356-capacity Capital One Arena is an indoor arena in Washington, D.C. (US). Located in the Chinatown section of the larger Penn Quarter neighborhood the arena sits atop the Gallery Place Rapid Transit Station of the Washington Metro.

The Capital One Arena is undergoing a massive multiyear roughly $1 billion renovation (formerly projected at $800 million) to modernize the venue with work continuing through 2027-2028. The key improvements include wider concourses, 60 percent more concession capacity, enhanced Wi-Fi/cell service, and upgraded locker rooms.

‘yahoo!sports’ further stated that the new addition is built to have an easy transition between the National Hockey League (NHL) and the National Basketball Association (NBA) games, concerts and family entertainment. It will also have multiple distinct culinary concepts, flexible seating and club options, concierge-led service, and spaces designed to evolve over time.

The fans and the visitors will have the opportunity to build-your-own nightly hospitality experience with select tickets planned to start at under $100. Those experiences include:

  • Pizza and Wine Bar: Anchored by an open kitchen and thoughtful wine program the Pizza and Wine Bar is designed to gather in a relaxed yet refined setting;
  • Cantina: A high-energy gathering place fueled by bold flavors, tequila, mezcal and the non-stop spirit of celebration;
  • Beer Hall: A social hub and sports bar and grill built to be the fans’ pre-game destination before, during and after every event;
  • Speakeasy: Inspired by D.C.’s music history a plush lounge seating in a tucked away setting provides one of the arena’s most exclusive places to sip, socialize and set the tone for the night;
  • The Brasserie: The Brasserie serves up Steak Frites (a classic, rustic French and Belgian dish) combined with polished service, cocktails and quiet confidence;
  • Discover Hidden Gems: The secret lounges, the boutique retail and the tucked-away tasting rooms reward curiosity at every turn with the delightfully unexpected;
  • Elevate the View: The reimagined seating and club options paired with open circulation and two center-court/center-ice bars with the sightlines directly into the Bowl let the guests choose their perspective on the action – including seats up to four inches wider for the season ticket holders;
  • Step Into the Inner Circle: A Member-only vibe meets all-access energy where the connections guests make are as memorable as the event itself. The curated retail offerings add an additional layer of exclusivity offering keepsakes and stories guests can’t get anywhere else;

‘The Halo’ is included in Monumental Sports & Entertainment’s (MSE’s) $800+ million transformation for the Capital One Arena.
