Season and suite tickets for NFL American football franchise the Los Angeles Chargers’ move to the new LA Stadium for the 2020 season are now open to the public, Ticketing Business News reported.

The ticket prices for general seating range from $50 (£38/€45) to $90 per seat each game, which is in addition to the associated one-time stadium seat licence (SSL) payment of $100 for each seat, the report stated.

The premium products have SSL prices that range from $500 to $3,000 per seat, with an additional ticket cost ranging from $70 to $150 per game, it added.

Chargers president of business operations A.G. Spanos said in October when pricing was originally announced that he is confident there is a “season ticket opportunity for just about everyone.”

The Chargers relocated from San Diego to Los Angeles for the 2017 season and are due to move into their new home in 2020. The state-of-the-art stadium at Hollywood Park will be shared with the Los Angeles Rams. Construction began in November 2016 and the project is expected to cost about $2.6bn (£2bn/€2.2bn) in total.

The franchise highlighted in October that more than 26,000 seats in the 70,240-capacity venue will be in lower tiered pricing, between the $50 and $90 mark.

“When you look at the pricing levels for general seating, you can confidently say there is a season ticket opportunity for just about everyone,” said Spanos in October.

“I think this model also reflects our view that it’s not just about pricing for one person. A family of four should be able to buy season tickets for the entire family and not need a second mortgage to do so.”

The Chargers currently occupy the 27,000-seat StubHub Center while they await their big move. The reduced capacity has resulted in high ticket prices leading to criticism that home games can be taken over by visiting supporters who can afford such tickets.
