More renovation plans are in store for the Marcelo A. Bielsa Stadium in Rosario, Argentina.

‘newellsoldboys.com’ stated that now in the Visera stalls the modern VIP Boxes will sit and will boast an outdoor section facilitating the fans to watch the games from the playing field and the spectators will be able to enjoy the pitch action from close-quarter. Construction of the Boxes is expected to be completed by March 2025.

The 42,000-capacity Marcelo A. Bielsa Stadium (also known as ‘The Colossus of the Park’) is a stadium located within Parque de la Independencia in the City of Rosario, Argentina. Inaugurated in 1911, it is the home ground of the club Newell’s Old Boys. The venue did not have any official name until December 22nd, 2009 when it was named after the former coach of the club Marcelo Bielsa.

The Newell’s Old Boys is an Argentine sports club based in Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina. The club was founded on November 3rd, 1903, and is named after Isaac Newell of the English county of Kent, one of the pioneers of Argentine football. The club plays in the Primera División and is Argentina’s premier football division and the top division of the Argentine football league system.

‘newellsoldboys.com’ further stated that the Newell’s Old Boys Athletic Club continues to focus on innovation and modernization of its facility.

The ambitious plans include the construction of 22 exclusive Boxes in the place where the old Amelia tribune is located. In this way, Newell’s will be part of a select group of clubs in Argentina that will offer their fans the rare experience of enjoying the game from the field of play, an once-in-a-lifetime experience.

‘newellsoldboys.com’ further stated that with the incorporation of the above Boxes the benches will be relocated to the side of the double stalls. In addition, the construction of a FIFA outlet is planned in the same section. The boarding house that is lodged under the stalls will be moved and a visitors’ locker room and a tunnel will be built.

Each Box will measure 25 square meters and will accommodate up to 10 people. The design will be a mix of elegance, exclusivity and comfort comprising sleek furnitures, a mini bar, air-conditioners, and an outdoor space so that the fans can be up-close with the players.

In addition, a hospitality space will also come up which will be exclusively designed for the events and entertainment purposes as well as two health centers will also come up.

The above Boxes will be so designed that it provides direct access to ‘The Colossus’ lawn and those sitting in the Boxes will be able to watch the game in close proximity.

The Newell’s Old Boys is committed to upgrade ‘The Colossus’ from time to time.
