The Warwickshire County Cricket Club (UK) will welcome members and spectators back to Edgbaston Stadium for the LV= Insurance County Championship fixture against the Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club from May 27th to May 30th following the safe return of crowds to sporting events.

The ‘Warwickshire County Cricket Club’ stated that the Edgbaston Stadium will operate at 25 percent capacity for this fixture, as per UK Government guidelines, and all seating will be reserved and socially distanced.

Warwickshire members will have first priority to secure their seat.

The Warwickshire County Cricket Club is one of 18 first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Warwickshire. Its 50 overs team is called the Warwickshire Bears and its T20 team the Birmingham Bears.

The 25,000-capacity Edgbaston Cricket Ground, also known as the County Ground or Edgbaston Stadium, is a cricket ground in the Edgbaston area of Birmingham, England. It is home to the Warwickshire County Cricket Club and its T20 team Birmingham Bears.

The ‘Warwickshire County Cricket Club’ quoted Stuart Cain, Chief Executive of the club, as stating, “The Members were brilliant last year, with many donating their fees to support the club during the COVID lockdown, so it’s great to finally get the chance to say thank you in person. It’s crucial that those attending feel secure so we’ve taken the latest Government advice and combined it with our own experiences from last year’s pilot to create what we think is the safest possible environment to enjoy cricket.”

Added Cain, “We’ve also invested heavily during lockdown in the Edgbaston app which means there won’t be any paper tickets, people can order food and drink using click and collect and they can quickly see how busy certain areas of the stadium are before leaving their seat. So, I’d encourage Members to download it now and give it a go.”

Tickets

Members will have an exclusive two-week priority period to secure their place, plus purchase or use their guest passes to claim up to three additional tickets for this match. Additional tickets can be purchased online, while guest passes must be claimed over the phone or in-person at Store ’94 before the day of the fixture.

Any remaining tickets will be released from 10am on May 13th. All tickets are subject to completing a health declaration form before the day of the match.

Tickets will subsequently be available via the Edgbaston app or can be downloaded and printed at home. No tickets will be distributed at the stadium or available on the day of the match and Membership cards alone will not be accepted.

Guest passes must be claimed before the day of the fixture and no guest passes will be accepted on the day.

Seating arrangement

To allow for social distancing, seating will be available with one free seat in-between each spectator.

The Tom Dollery Lounge will be open for this fixture. To ensure that as many Members as possible can use the Tom Dollery Lounge, only one guest ticket can be purchased in this area.

The David Heath Suite will be closed for this match.

A full spectator guide will be available closer to the match with full details regarding this fixture. Strict social distancing measures and COVID protocols will be in place.
