FINA announces partnership with Counsilman-Hunsaker Image: FINA

The International Swimming Federation (FINA) recently announced a new partnership consultancy with industry-leading aquatic facility design and operations company, Counsilman-Hunsaker.

‘FINA’ stated that founded in 1970 by swimming pioneers James ‘Doc’ Counsilman and Joe Hunsaker, Counsilman-Hunsaker will provide FINA and its Member-Federations with innovative design and management solutions to develop state-of-the-art, sustainable aquatic facilities.

Established in 1908, Lausanne (Switzerland)-based the International Swimming Federation (FINA) is an international management organization for swimming events. FINA’s official swimming events are swimming, water polo, diving, artistic swimming (AS), open water swimming (OWS), and high diving.

For over 50 years, Counsilman-Hunsaker has provided project leadership in aquatic architectural design, engineering audits, feasibility studies, operations and risk management consulting, and HydroApps, cloud-based applications to digitize aquatic operations, risk management and scheduling. Through its expertise and industry partnerships, Counsilman-Hunsaker offers each client a truly unique aquatic experience.

‘FINA’ further stated that the partnership, which runs through 2025, will also see Counsilman-Hunsaker assist the FINA Technical Committees in their work to support refurbishment efforts of existing pools and facilities around the world.
