NY Jets to open Sportsbook Lounge at MetLife Image: Sportsbook

After launching a Chicago-based gaming subsidiary earlier this year, streaming TV firm FuboTV has partnered with the National Football League (NFL) team New York Jets and will open a betting lounge in MetLife Stadium.

The ‘Chicago Inno’ stated that Fubo Gaming announced that its sports betting platform, Fubo Sportsbook, has entered into a multiyear partnership with the New York Jets to become the NFL team’s official sports betting partner. The partnership will also create the Fubo Sportsbook Lounge at MetLife Stadium, which will operate as a space for fans to watch NFL games from around the league, bet on games via the Fubo Sportsbook app and watch the Jets play from the lounge’s outdoor patio.

FuboTV Inc. is an American, Canadian and Spanish streaming television service that focuses primarily on channels that distribute live sports, including the National Football League (NFL), Major League Baseball (MLB), National Basketball Association (NBA), National Hockey League (NHL), Major League Soccer (MLS), Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and international soccer, plus news, network television series and movies.

The New York Jets are a professional American football team based in the New York metropolitan area. The Jets compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) East division.

The 82,500-capacity MetLife Stadium is a stadium at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey, 5 mi West of New York City (US). Opened in 2010 to replace Giants Stadium, the stadium serves as the home for the New York Giants and New York Jets of the National Football League.

The ‘Chicago Inno’ further stated that Fubo Sportsbook is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of this year and will be yet another entrant into the mobile sports betting space alongside players like DraftKings, FanDuel, PointsBet, and Barstool Sports.

FuboTV, a New York-based streaming alternative to cable TV, announced in April that it would launch a sport gambling division headquartered in Chicago with plans to hire over 100 employees. The company’s sports betting operations were made possible after its acquisition of Vigtory, a Chicago-based sports betting company. The 15-person Vigtory team joined FuboTV, and co-CEOs of the startup Sam Rattner and Scott Butera joined Fubo Gaming as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and President, respectively.

Rattner previously said the company’s sports betting app will look to stand out by incorporating live streaming, allowing users to watch and bet from the same platform.

Fubo Gaming signed a roughly 30,000-square-foot lease at 1 N. Dearborn St. in the Loop.
