GL Events has been picked to design, fit out and manage the 58 venues that will host the 2026 Asian and Para-Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.

GL Events said that over the course of nearly three weeks, more than 15,000 athletes, para-athletes, and officials from 45 countries will compete in 41 disciplines, making this event one of the most significant sporting gatherings in Asia.

GL Events will deploy a comprehensive range of expertise including: site studies and design, installation of temporary infrastructures, set-up of hospitality areas and media zones, management of access and accreditation systems, and organisation of medal ceremonies.

The 2026 Asian Games, also known as the 20th Asian Games and Aichi-Nagoya 2026, will be a multisport event to be celebrated around the Aichi Prefecture in Japan from September 19th-October 4th, 2026. The prefecture capital Nagoya will be at the heart of the events.

GL Events said the new contract confirms its expertise in managing complex, tailor-made projects on an international scale.

It also highlights the Group’s ability to provide sustainable and innovative solutions that meet the expectations of organisers and the evolving challenges of the event industry.

Already established in Aichi through the management of the Aichi Sky Expo convention and exhibition centre, GL Events continues its development in Japan and reaffirms its ambition to support the region’s major infrastructure projects.

This new collaboration strengthens the Group’s presence in Asia and demonstrates its commitment to contributing to the cultural, sporting, and economic influence of the region.

After the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia, the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, and the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, GL Events continues its commitment at the heart of the world’s greatest sporting events.
