The Premier League team Everton F.C. recently announced that their Chief Financial Officer (CFO) James Maryniak will leave the club soon following the opening of their brand-new residence – the Hill Dickinson Stadium in Liverpool, England (UK).

‘evertonfc.com’ stated that Maryniak has served the top-flight team for eight years in a variety of senior leadership positions. He was appointed the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in December 2023 having filled the role in an interim capacity prior to that. He joined the club in 2017 and has served as the Deputy Finance Director and the Financial Director.

The Everton Football Club is a professional association football club based in Liverpool, England (UK). The club competes in the Premier League, the top tier of English football.

The 51,565-capacity Hill Dickinson Stadium, known as the Everton Stadium during construction, is a football stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock in Vauxhall, Liverpool, England (UK). It is the new home ground of the Premier League club Everton F.C. replacing the 39,572-capacity Goodison Park.

‘evertonfc.com’ quoted Maryniak as stating, “I leave my time at Everton with an overwhelming sense of pride. It has been a privilege to be a part of a close-knit management team that has fought so hard for this club and the decision to move on from Everton has been one of the most difficult of my life. However, with financial stability restored, and the new ownership fully transitioned into their role as custodians of this great club, the time is now right for me to spend some quality time with my young family before embarking on my next career move. I am so grateful for the unwavering support and encouragement that I have always felt in my time at Everton and I’m very lucky to have worked with some incredibly talented individuals who put everything into driving this club forward daily.”

Added Maryniak, “Looking forward, the future is extremely bright for Everton. The comprehensive capital restructure that has been delivered provides long-term strength and stability to the club and, coupled with the opening of the Hill Dickinson Stadium, provides a real platform to restore the club to its rightful place within English football which the Evertonians so richly deserve. I wish The Friedkin Group, Angus Kinnear, the management team, and all my colleagues nothing but the very best for the future and I have every confidence that exciting times are ahead for this special football club.”

Houston (US)-based The Friedkin comprises a consortium of automotive, hospitality, entertainment, sports, and adventure companies.

Said Angus Kinnear, Everton head honcho, “James will be very much missed and I want to personally thank him for his many years of service to the club and for his personal support to The Friedkin Group. We wish James all the very best for his next chapter and look forward to seeing him at our future games.”
