Al Dana Amphitheatre, Bahrain’s newest and most exciting live entertainment destination, made the big reveal on November 19th announcing that the multiplatinum selling global superstar Khalid will be performing live at the amphitheatre on December 8th, 2021.

The ‘Al Dana Amphitheatre Bahrain’ stated that American singer Khalid will be the second artiste to take the stage, following its highly successful sold-out premiere concert which took place earlier this month.

The 10,000-capacity Al Dana Amphitheatre is Bahrain’s most exciting live entertainment destination. Carved from rock, it is a remarkable feat of engineering built approximately 50 ft into the ground of the spectacular Sakhir desert. Located adjacent to the 70,000-capacity Bahrain International Circuit, Al Dana Amphitheatre offers a wide array of indoor and outdoor event spaces to ignite the imagination of guests and artistes alike, creating magical moments and unforgettable memories.

Khalid Donnel Robinson is an American singer signed to Right Hand Music Group and RCA Records. He rose to fame after the release of his debut studio album, ‘American Teen’.

The ‘Al Dana Amphitheatre Bahrain’ further stated that Khalid took the world by storm and catapulted into a massive success when he released his first single, the five times platinum ‘Location’, right before his high school graduation, earning his spot as one of Time’s ‘Most Influential People of 2019’.

After exploding onto the scene, he landed a major label deal followed by the release of his debut album, the double platinum certified ‘American Teen’. His second album, ‘Free Spirit’, debuted at number one on the Billboard Top 200, earning over 5.3 billion streams worldwide. The pop prodigy has since collaborated with some of music’s biggest stars on his number one singles, such as with American singer Normani in ‘Love Lies’, American singer-songwriter Halsey and the American record producer Benny Blanco in ‘Eastside’, in addition to collaborating with American singer-songwriter Billie Eilish, Canadian singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes, American DJ Marshmello, and more on many of his hits.

Earlier this year, Khalid announced the release of his third album, ‘Everything Is Changing’, which he says is about finding “a purpose and a sense of self in a world where everything is digitally connected but emotionally disconnected”.

He pointed out, “I was inspired by how I was feeling during the pandemic and the emotional toll that quarantine took on me and my friends.”

The Al Dana Amphitheatre is set to become a regional industry leader through the creation of internationally recognized experiences. It will also promote the Kingdom as an essential entertainment destination, in addition to contributing to its economic growth. Additionally, the venue can host a variety of indoor and outdoor events for global event promoters, corporate events and private celebrations.

Ticket sales will be announced soon on Al Dana Amphitheatre’s social media accounts, Instagram (@aldana_amp), Twitter (@aldana_amp), Facebook (facebook.com/aldanaamphitheatre), TikTok (@aldana_amp) and Snapchat (@aldana_amp).
