Real Betis' hospitality model is transformed and reinforced at La Cartuja Image: Real Betis

The relocation of the Spanish professional football club Real Betis Balompié to the La Cartuja Stadium due to the ongoing construction work at their home ground – the Benito Villamarín Stadium in Sevilla, Spain – presented a strategic opportunity to accelerate the modernization and growth of the hospitality area at the La Cartuja Stadium as well as laying the foundations for the future Benito Villamarín Stadium.

‘Real Betis’ stated that thanks to the transition the club has implemented a more segmented, scalable and growth-oriented model that is already delivering results: More than a 130 percent increase in business volume compared to the last season in Heliópolis (neighborhood in Seville, Spain).

The Real Betis Balompié, S.A.D., known as Real Betis, is a Spanish professional football club based in Seville, Andalusia, Spain. It plays in LaLiga, the top flight of Spanish football.

The 70,000-capacity Estadio La Cartuja, formerly Estadio Olímpico de Sevilla, officially known as Estadio La Cartuja de Sevilla, is a stadium situated in the Isla de la Cartuja in Seville, Spain. It is used mostly for football and it is commonly referred to as simply ‘La Cartuja’ and serves as the temporary home of the Real Betis.

The Estadio Benito Villamarín is a stadium in Sevilla, Spain, and the home of Real Betis since its completion in 1929. It has a capacity of 60,721.

Real Betis is undergoing a major €170M-€262M redevelopment of the Estadio Benito Villamarín which began in Summer 2025 with the demolition of the Preferencia Stand.

  • Expansion of the corporate offering – At La Cartuja, the number of private boxes has been doubled reinforcing Real Betis’s ability to serve companies with a more personalized, exclusive and flexible service;
  • New Exclusive Experiences – Previously unheard-of offerings have been launched at La Cartuja including Players VIP which allows the guests to experience the pre-match atmosphere from the new lounges located in the players’ tunnel area. This double-height space, spanning over 225 m², has become one of the most sought-after premium experiences in all of LaLiga. One of these lounges is the EA Sports FC room designed for user entertainment which includes two PlayStation 5 consoles equipped with the EA Sports FC 26 video game and four controllers offering a complementary experience that reinforces this innovative and distinctive character;
  • Boosting the Real Betis Business Club – The club has created a completely new space at La Cartuja that integrates all the companies that are part of the Business Club with the aim of strengthening relationships, generating synergies and reinforcing brand positioning in an environment specifically designed for this purpose;
  • Greater premium offering – The expansion of the VIP areas has allowed the development of superior products for clients seeking differentiated service in comfort, privacy, exclusivity, and amenities;
  • New networking areas – More than 2,500 m² have been dedicated to hospitality at La Cartuja, most notably the VIP Terrace, a space of over 1,000 m² with a direct view of the pitch. This area has become a prime location to enjoy the match and, in addition, an innovative option ideal for the corporate events;
  • A comprehensive investment to transform the service. To make this first phase of the strategic plan possible the club has implemented significant infrastructure improvements:

    • Duplication of the central kitchen;
    • Creation of satellite kitchens for the Boxes;
    • Transformation of the existing spaces into new VIP lounges;
    • Closure and adaptation of the entire VIP grandstand ring; and
    • Implementation of new operating processes and quality control systems.

‘Real Betis’ further stated that in addition, a continuous improvement model has been implemented with a team dedicated exclusively to auditing each match and optimizing procedures in real time to raise the overall standard of service.

Tangible results from Day One – The move has allowed Real Betis to double both their business volume and the number of VIP seats available confirming that this change was not just a temporary logistical necessity but a key opportunity to accelerate the club’s growth and evolution.
