Levy to handle Philadelphia digs food-drinks

While details remain limited on the new arena planned for South Philadelphia (US) it is known now who will handle the food and drinks.

The new arena is expected to open in 2030 and will also be home to a Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) team.

‘6abc.com’ stated that in a notable shift announced recently the National Basketball Association (NBA) team – the Philadelphia 76ers – and the National Hockey League team – the Philadelphia Flyers – have selected the Levy Restaurants – not the Philadelphia-based Aramark – as their hospitality partner. Levy, a Chicago-based company, services about half of the NBA and NHL’s shared arenas.

The 20,478-seat Xfinity Mobile Arena is a multipurpose indoor arena located in Philadelphia (US). It serves as the home of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League (NHL) and the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

The Philadelphia Flyers are a professional ice hockey team based in Philadelphia (US). The Flyers compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a Member of the Metropolitan Division in the Eastern Conference. The Xfinity Mobile Arena serves as their home stadium.

Levy Restaurants is an American food service and hospitality company based in Chicago, Illinois (US). Levy specializes in providing food and beverage (F&B) services at major entertainment and sports venues with operations at more than 80 venues in the United States and Canada. It is the largest food service contractor in North American professional sports with a nearly 40 percent market share.
