Lusail International Circuit is getting ready for life in the fast lane as it gears up to welcome MotoGP and Formula 1 in November.

Qatar News Agency said the track will host the high-octane Qatar Airways Grand Prix 2026 in MotoGP on November 6-8 and the Qatar Airways Formula 1 Grand Prix on November 27-29.

Preparations are progressing across the circuit, including on grandstands, hospitality areas, fan zones and operational facilities, ahead of welcoming teams and spectators from around the world.

The 52,000-capacity Lusail International Circuit is a motor racing circuit is located just outside the City of Lusail, North of Doha, Qatar.

The track is 5.419 km in length, with a main straight of 1.068 km. It is surrounded by artificial grass intended to stop sand blowing onto the track.

The Qatar Grand Prix (GP) Formula One motor racing event was held for the first time in November 2021 at the Lusail International Circuit.

After not taking place during the 2022 season due to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, it rejoined the calendar in 2023 under a 10-year contract.

Lusail International Circuit CEO Abdulaziz Ali Al Mohannadi said November would be a major month for motorsports fans, with both events taking place just three weeks apart.

He said preparations were nearing completion to ensure an exceptional experience for visitors.

Both events will feature entertainment, live music, interactive activities and family attractions, alongside opportunities for fans to meet their favorite drivers.

The Formula 1 program will also include racing simulators, arcade games, creative workshops and sustainability activities.

Despite Lusail’s preparations, there’s still no confirmed decision from the FIA and Formula 1 that the F1 Grand Prix race will go ahead.

The indecision stems from the security and stability concerns in the Middle East region, although Qatari authorities have reiterated the country’s safety and readiness.
