To mark the momentous occasion, the Manchester City Women’s Football Club team cut a ribbon – a giant ribbon which had been wrapped around the newly-named stadium.

‘Manchester City’ further stated that there have been some unforgettable moments for Gareth Taylor’s (Head Coach of Manchester City Women) side over the years at the Manchester City F.C. home, including derby victories, last-gasp winners and title triumphs.

Indeed, the team even went the entirety of the 2022-2023 seasons unbeaten on home soil, taking notable scalps in the form of Arsenal Women Football Club and Chelsea Football Club Women along the way.
