‘EXPRESS’ stated that the idea left fans shocked with Sky Sports host Craig Slater even hilariously mocking the concept live on air. However, major changes will be made for 2023 with the hosts confirming real water will be included.

The Miami Grand Prix is a Formula One Grand Prix which forms part of the 2022 Formula One World Championship, with the event taking place at the Miami International Autodrome on a 10-year contract. It was first held in 2022.

The 2023 Miami Grand Prix (officially known as the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix 2023) is a Formula One motor race scheduled to be held on May 7th, 2023 at the Miami International Autodrome in Miami Gardens, Florida, US.

The 65,000-capacity Miami International Autodrome is a purpose-built temporary circuit around the Hard Rock Stadium and its private facilities in the Miami suburb of Miami Gardens, Florida, US. The track is 3.363 mi long and features 19 corners with an anticipated average speed of around 140 mph.

The 65,326-capacity Hard Rock Stadium is a multipurpose stadium located in Miami Gardens, Florida, United States. The stadium is the home field for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL) and the Miami Hurricanes, the University of Miami’s National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college football team.

London (UK)-based Formula One is the highest class of international racing for open-wheel single-seater formula racing cars sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile. The FIA Formula One World Championship has been one of the premier forms of racing around the world since its inaugural season in 1950.

A tweet said, “Water is coming to the MIA Marina this year. Introducing our brand new Sunset Cabanas, offering fans a private, trackside cabana with à la carte food offerings from @chefmichy!”

Last May, @SuypernovaMWN tweeted, “Although I have no involvement whatsoever in the production of this, I can’t help but feel embarrassed for the spectacle.”

Another social media user said: “As an American F1 fan that has been an F1 fan for many years, I’m sorry. I’m truly excited to see more races my side of the world as it’s been practically impossible for me to go in the past and Vegas will be kinda close, but this is… this is sad. This does not represent us.”

‘EXPRESS’ further stated that access to the marina is only available to visitors who purchase the sunset cabana hospitality package.

This gives spectators a private cabana adjacent to the world-class yachts just meters from the circuit. Guests will also have exclusive access to a private bar and enjoy breathtaking views of turns six and seven.

Some F1 fans greeted the above news while others blasted the idea on social media.

@milessebastian1 posted: “Oh don’t replace the fake water! That made people so happy.”

Alongside the new water updates, a string of changes have also been made to the circuit ahead of the second race.

The track is expected to be resurfaced ahead of the race to boost grip and improve racing.

The South Florida Motorsports commented, “The new three-tiered Paddock Club structure has been built above the existing team pit garages and overlooks the pit lane and start/finish straight. There are also additional hospitality experiences at the Miami International Autodrome for 2023 which include new spaces The Vista at Turn 1 and The Boathouse at MIA Marina.”
