Melbourne Olympic Parks calls on security advisor Image: M&OP

Melbourne & Olympic Parks (M&OPs) (Australia), in partnership with Tennis Australia, is calling for expressions of interest from suitably qualified security service providers to deliver a range of services within the precinct.

Welcoming more than 2.5 million people across hundreds of events annually, Melbourne & Olympic Parks (M&OP) has long been the home of the most iconic and world-class event experiences Australia has to offer.
 

It is Australia’s heart of sport and entertainment and its venues comprise:

  • Rod Laver Arena – The 14,820-capacity arena is home to the Australian Open and the most iconic experiences Australia has to offer;
  • Margaret Court Arena – The 7,500-capacity arena is one of Australia’s premier multiuse arenas;
  • John Cain Arena – The 10,500-capacity arena is Victoria’s home of elite indoor sport;
  • AAMI Park – The 30,050-capacity stadium is Australia’s premier sport and entertainment rectangular venue; and
  • Centrepiece at Melbourne Park – Melbourne’s most surprising conference and events venue capacity stands at 780.

Melbourne (Australia)-headquartered Tennis Australia is the governing body for the sport of tennis in Australia. The organization exists to promote tennis and to conduct domestic and international tournaments on behalf of Australia, including the Australian Open and the Davis Cup for the Australian Davis Cup Team.

The ‘Melbourne & Olympic Parks’ stated that the required services which need to be delivered under this agreement are as follows:

  • Event Security (including Security Officer and Crowd Control services);
  • Security Guarding/Asset Protection;
  • Control Room Operators;
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Officers;
  • Fire Indicator Panel (FIP) Officers; and
  • Other/Ancillary roles.

 
The ‘Melbourne & Olympic Parks’ further stated that to express your interest, head to the Tender Victoria Portal. Submissions close at 5 pm on December 6th, 2021.
