New club residences from Nations Group Image: Nations Group

The Nations Group, the leading capital project firm in collegiate athletics, is expanding its traditional Owner’s Representative stadium development model by assembling an experienced team of university real estate professionals to plan, develop, finance, build, and maintain condominiums adjacent to the sports venues on the college campuses.

‘NATIONS GROUP’ stated that these exclusive, limited units are designed for the premier university supporters and typically serve as the secondary residences. Because of their unique location, the Club Residences will sell at a premium allowing the Athletic Departments to benefit from a revenue source that will generate significant dollars in both the short and long term. Additionally, these developments will foster university synergy by bringing the avid supporters together in an on-campus community.

The Nations Group is an Owners’ Representative firm that uses the power of collaboration combined with depth of experience and industry/market knowledge to assist in all aspects of capital facility projects. The Nation Group’s Scope of Work includes a two-phase approach comprising services that are tailored to meet the needs of its partners.

‘NATIONS GROUP’ further stated that with a focus on the collegiate athletics projects, the Nations Group has an unparalleled knowledge of the internal structure of the universities and the Athletic Departments that enables them to help create a clear path forward for the facility projects. Headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona (US) the Nations Group has been in the Owner’s Representative space since 2008.

An Owner’s Representative is hired by a project Owner to represent him or her throughout the entire process of a development including site selection, design, entitlements, permitting, and construction. The Owner’s Representative serves as a liaison and ensures that the Owner’s best interests are carried out.

Commented Chris Nations, Nations Group President, “Our goal is to partner with the universities, and specifically their Athletic Departments, to design the residential communities tailored to the school’s brand and provide their supporters with first-class residences in highly sought-after locations.”

The residential communities at the alma maters are a popular and growing real estate niche. Establishing such communities near the athletics facilities makes them especially appealing.

Noted Nations, “Now is the time for creative solutions by bringing new products to the collegiate market. This residential concept is a viable option for doing so and it is a natural extension of our traditional business model and the existing relationships.”
