NBA-ready venue plans on scintillating Strip

The real estate development company LVXP is thrilled to announce that it has selected AECOM, the world’s trusted infrastructure consulting firm, to provide architectural and engineering services for its planned sports and entertainment arena on the Las Vegas Strip (US).

‘MORNINGSTAR’ stated that envisioned with cutting-edge technology and modern design, the National Basketball Association (NBA)-ready venue will offer an unparalleled experience for the NBA fans and visitors once complete. The arena will serve as the anchor for LVXP’s planned 27-acre experiential mixed-use development. This transformative project will also include an impressive luxury resort and casino designed by the renowned architect Paul Steelman.

The LVXP plans to transform the 27-acre site located on the Las Vegas Strip at 2601 South Las Vegas Boulevard (US) into an experiential mixed-use development that will be anchored by a technologically advanced entertainment and sports arena.

Lined with upscale casino hotels, the neon-soaked Strip is quintessential Las Vegas. As well as gambling floors, the vast hotel complexes house a variety of shops, restaurants (ranging from mainstream to high-end), and performance venues for music, comedy and circus-style acts. Attractions like the soaring, choreographed Fountains of Bellagio and the High Roller observation wheel draw crowds.

New York (US)-based the National Basketball Association (NBA) is a professional basketball league in North America composed of 30 teams. It is one of the major professional sports leagues in the United States and Canada and is considered the premier professional basketball league in the world.

‘MORNINGSTAR’ further stated that Nick Tomasino, Chief Construction Officer of LVXP, is renowned for his successful developments in Las Vegas including the 20,000-capacity Sphere, the 10,000-capacity Las Vegas Ballpark, the 6,400-capacity Dolby Live (indoor amphitheater), and The Park (new dining and entertainment district on the Las Vegas Strip) among many others.

He expressed his excitement about the LVXP’s partnership with the AECOM stating, “The AECOM has set a new standard for arena architecture and development with the state-of-the-art 18,000-capacity Intuit Dome (under construction) in Inglewood, California. The LVXP’s prime development site is strategically located across from the newly expanded Las Vegas Convention Center, adjacent to the Fontainebleau Las Vegas (four-star hotel), and near Resorts World Las Vegas (resort hotel). The multipurpose entertainment and lifestyle venue is expected to serve as the home for a new NBA franchise, representing a significant development for the Clark County and the community.

The Las Vegas Convention Center is a convention center in Winchester, Nevada (US). It is owned and operated by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. As one of the largest convention centers in the world, it has 2,500,000 sq ft of exhibit space and hosts shows with an estimated 200,000 participants.

Las Vegas (US)-based the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority is a Government agency and the official destination marketing organization for Southern Nevada. It was founded by the Nevada Legislature in 1955.

The firm boasts a portfolio of more than 70 arenas in the United States, including 20 professional sports and entertainment arenas.
