NBA showcase event in sparkling Chase Center

The National Basketball Association (NBA) team Golden State Warriors will host the 2025 All-Star Game at their home arena – the Chase Center in San Francisco, California (US) – a showcase years in the making as the organization hoped to host major events in its sparkling new arena.

‘ESPN’ stated that the NBA Commissioner Adam Silver made the announcement recently at the four-year-old venue in San Francisco, where the Warriors moved from across the bay in Oakland. It’ll be the third time that the Warriors plays host to an All-Star weekend, joining 1967 and 2000.

The Golden State Warriors are an American professional basketball team based in San Francisco (US). The Warriors compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the Pacific Division of the Western Conference.

The Chase Center is an indoor arena in the Mission Bay neighborhood of San Francisco, California (US). The building is the home venue for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Warriors, who have been located in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1962, played their home games at the 19,200-capacity Oakland Arena in Oakland, California, from 1971 to 2019. The Chase Center opened on September 6^th, 2019 and seats 18,064 for Warriors games.

‘ESPN’ further stated that events will be held from February 14^th-16^th, 2025. Some will take place at the team’s former home in Oakland, California – including the All-Star Celebrity Game, All-Star practices (a more affordable way to see the NBA All-Star players in person), the NBA HBCU Classic, and the G League Next Up Game (features some of the top talent from across the NBA G League).

The NBA All-Star Celebrity Game is an annual exhibition basketball game held by the National Basketball Association that takes place during the NBA All-Star Weekend and features the retired NBA players, the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) players, actors, musicians, and athletes from sports other than basketball.

The NBA HBCU Classic is a basketball game between Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The NBA partners with HBCUs to promote educational, career and economic opportunities. The NBA also aims to increase support and awareness for the HBCU athletics.

The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is the official minor league organization of the National Basketball Association. The league was known as the National Basketball Development League from 2001 to 2005, and the NBA Development League from 2005 until 2017.

The Chase Center will be the site of the Rising Stars Game on All-Star Friday, the All-Star Saturday Night lineup including the three-point contest and dunk competition and the All-Star Game itself on Sunday.
