Novi Sad stadium takes a step forward

A new stadium in Serbia’s second-largest city Novi Sad has officially reached a major milestone with the issuance of its Location Permit.

DBA Architecture said the approval paves the way for the construction of a state-of-the-art venue designed to redefine the sporting landscape of the region.

Engineered to meet the stringent UEFA Category 4 standards, the new stadium will boast a seating capacity of 14,000.

A key feature of the development is its extensive matchday hospitality segment, which promises to introduce a premium spectator experience previously unseen in this part of Europe.

The stadium is slated to serve as a key venue for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, while also becoming the permanent home for FK Vojvodina.

As a regular contender in European club competitions, FK Vojvodina will host both its domestic and international fixtures at the new arena.

Fudbalski klub Vojvodina, commonly known as Vojvodina and colloquially as Voša is a Serbian professional football club based in Novi Sad, Serbia.

DBA said that while the project is forward-looking, it remains deeply rooted in history. The stadium will be built on its original site, where it has stood for over a century.

This redevelopment honors a 100-year tradition by seamlessly integrating it with cutting-edge technology and modern regulations.
