The Premier League team Manchester United F.C. will unveil a brand-new matchday experience for the supporters with the launch of the ‘Pop-Up Pub’ at Old Trafford in Greater Manchester, England (UK).

‘manutd.com’ stated that opening in the W1 car park for their home fixtures against the Premier League teams Arsenal F.C., the Burnley F.C. and the Chelsea F.C. the ‘Pop-Up Pub’ will give the fans a vibrant space to come together, enjoy great local food and drink and soak up the atmosphere just steps from the Stretford End.

The Manchester United Football Club, commonly referred to as the Man United (often stylized as Man Utd) or simply United is a professional football club based in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, England (UK). They compete in the Premier League, the top tier of English football.

The 74,197-capacity Old Trafford is a football stadium in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, England (UK) and is the home of the Manchester United. With a capacity of 74,197 it is the largest club football stadium (and the second-largest football stadium overall after the 90,000-capacity Wembley Stadium) in the United Kingdom and the 11th-largest in Europe.

‘manutd.com’ further stated that the 900sqm marquee will hold up to 1,000 fans and is free to enter – exclusively for the match ticket holders – opening three hours before kickoff and remaining open for one hour after the final whistle.

The supporters visiting the ‘Pop-Up Pub’ can look forward to:

  • Delicious local food from Yard & Coop (spacious joint offering specialty fried chicken, sides and cocktails amid funky, barnyard-chic décor);
  • Premium local craft beer;
  • Fast-pour service with pints ready in just 10 seconds;
  • Live music from the local artistes to build the atmosphere; and
  • The United legends in attendance – including Denis Irwin (Irish former footballer) for the Arsenal match; and
  • Giveaways from the club partners Estée Lauder (luxury beauty brand) and Cadbury.

The ‘Pop-Up Pub’ is the first step in delivering more for the supporters on matchdays following feedback from the Old Trafford Regeneration research. The fans said they wanted more to see and do around the stadium and the top-flight club listened.

The Old Trafford Regeneration research refers to the studies and planning surrounding a large-scale project to revitalize the area around Manchester United’s Old Trafford Stadium. This research focuses on how to transform the area into a thriving community hub, attracting investment and creating new jobs. It involves a multifaceted approach including potential stadium redevelopment, new housing, commercial spaces, and improved infrastructure.

This initiative will not only provide a new space for the United family to connect but will also showcase the local businesses and help build the pre-match atmosphere that makes Old Trafford so special.

If successful, the ‘Pop-Up Pub’ will return at other points in the season helping shape plans for a permanent fan zone in the future.
