Andy O’Sullivan new CEO of London’s Olympia Image: ASM Global

International venue operator ASM Global has appointed Andy O’Sullivan as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Olympia London in London, England (UK).

‘Access All Areas’ stated that previously Vice-President for the International Management Group’s (IMG’s) European Stadium and Arena business, O’Sullivan has previously worked on the opening of the 90,000-capacity Wembley Stadium in Wembley, London, delivering $1 billion in sales through Club Wembley.

As the world’s leading venue management company and producer of live event experiences, Los Angeles (US)-based ASM Global is the pre-eminent management and content partner with over 350 venues worldwide. Operating and investing in the world’s most important stadiums, arenas, convention centers, and theaters requires unmatched dedication and the most profound expertise.

The 4,000-10,000-capacity Olympia London, sometimes referred to as the Olympia Exhibition Centre, is an exhibition center, event space and conference center in West Kensington, in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, London, England (UK).

‘Access All Areas’ further stated that O’Sullivan’s most recent role was as the Venue Director of the 62,850-capacity Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, where he oversaw the delivery of the venue’s guest experience and the Premier League team Tottenham Hotspur F.C.’s move from its former stadium, the now-demolished 36,284-capacity White Hart Lane Stadium in Tottenham, North London.

The 2024 edition of Coliseum Summit EUROPE will be held at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London, from March 26th-27th.

Best known for hosting trade and consumer exhibitions, Olympia London has also hosted sporting and music events in recent years, including shows by the British rock band Foals and the Albanian singer and songwriter Dua Lipa. The ASM Global was appointed to run operations at the venue in March 2022.

Olympia’s 7,000-capacity West Hall has hosted numerous concerts by acts including the English rock bands Pink Floyd, The Cure and the Scottish rock band Primal Scream.

Commented Chris Bray, ASM Global Europe President, “Andy comes armed with exceptional experience, knowledge of the industry and proven track record for commercial success. He also shares in our ambition for the future and growth of Olympia London so I have no doubt that he will bring tremendous value and vision to the venue.”

Observed O’Sullivan, “I’m incredibly excited to be joining such a transformational project at such a critical time, one that’s taking shape right here in London. It will be an incredible new landmark destination for the City that will help to reshape the way we see and interact with conferencing, exhibitions and the creative arts industry.

O’Sullivan will begin his new role on January 11th.
