The first National Football League (NFL) game happened at the Allegiant Stadium (US) on September 13th night between the Las Vegas Raiders and the Baltimore Ravens which the Raiders won in a crazy game in overtime.

The alluring Allegiant Stadium reverberated with the roars of ecstatic fans as they were treated to an edge-of-the-seat matchup.

The ‘LVSportsBiz’ stated that the Las Vegas Raiders rallied against a tough Baltimore Ravens team and gave Las Vegas a highly entertaining win with a 33-27 overtime victory over the Ravens in the first Raiders game with fans at Allegiant Stadium. The showpiece stadium opened in late July 2020 when COVID-19 had struck the planet like a bolt from the blue and the United States was caught in its deadly whirlpool.

The 65,000-capacity Allegiant Stadium is a domed stadium located in Paradise, Nevada, United States. It serves as the home stadium for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL) and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Rebels college football team.

The Las Vegas Raiders are a professional American football team based in the Las Vegas metropolitan area. The Raiders compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference West division.

The Baltimore Ravens are a professional American football team based in Baltimore, US. The Ravens compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the American Football Conference North division. The team plays its home games at the 71,008-capacity M&T Bank Stadium and is headquartered in Owings Mills, Maryland.

Raiders quarterback Derek Carr said after the game with the wild finish, “I hope this is a sign of things to come. You felt a home field advantage. Las Vegas, I tip my hat to you. It got really loud. Las Vegas did their thing.”

The ‘LVSportsBiz’ further stated that it was a historic day for Las Vegas. Southern Nevada invested $750 million to help build this pristine sports and entertainment building to bring the Raiders to Las Vegas from Oakland in 2020.

And on September 13th, 61,756 fans filled the $2 billion building after it took 14 months before the first Raiders supporters were able to enter Allegiant Stadium for a regular season game. And to be able to grace games, they had to be vaccinated against COVID-19, or at least partially vaccinated for the Raiders-Ravens game held on Monday night.

The game was remarkable for it being the first NFL contest where fans had to show proof of vaccination in order to pass through the turnstiles. Despite the anti-vaxxers who were protesting, the facility was almost a packed house. Face coverings were not mandatory inside the venue for those who showed proof of COVID vax.
