The National Football League (NFL) team Las Vegas Raiders recently released their 2024 Impact Playbook, a comprehensive report on the Raiders’, Allegiant Stadium’s (Raiders home ground) and the Raiders Foundation’s (a charitable organization that supports the Las Vegas Raiders community) sustainability, equity and community initiatives that strengthen the Las Vegas (US) community.

‘Allegiant Stadium’ stated that the second edition of the Playbook details a year look-back of impactful community partnerships, innovative sustainability efforts and a steadfast commitment to fostering diversity, equity and inclusion both on and off the field.

The Las Vegas Raiders are a professional American football team based in the Las Vegas Metropolitan area (US). The Raiders compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member of the American Football Conference West Division.

The 65,000-capacity Allegiant Stadium is a domed multipurpose stadium located in Paradise, Nevada, Southwest of adjacent Las Vegas (US). Opened in 2020, it is the home field of the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL).

‘Allegiant Stadium’ quoted Sandra Douglass Morgan, Las Vegas Raiders President, as stating, “Being part of the Las Vegas community is more than just convening on gameday, it’s about consistently showing up for our community in the way they show up for us. Our Owner, Mark Davis, has always said our commitment to this community goes far beyond the field. We are dedicated to growing Las Vegas into a global destination for sports and entertainment while staying true to the Raiders’ legacy of unity, excellence and service. It’s an honor to give back to a community that has given us so much.”

Highlights of the 2024 Impact Playbook include:

  • Community Investment: The Raiders Organization (Las Vegas Raiders), including the Raiders Foundation, awarded over $1.7 million in grants and in-kind donations to the local nonprofits and the educational programs. Notable events like the inaugural Silver & Black Gala (an annual event hosted by the Raiders Foundation) raised critical funds for mental health resources and awarded $500,000 to the Legal Aid of Southern Nevada’s Resiliency & Justice Center.
  • Sustainability and Environmental Stewardship: The Allegiant Stadium continues its commitment to sustainability receiving two Green Sports Alliance Play to Zero Awards (awards that recognize the organizations and the individuals for their efforts to reduce the environmental impact of sports). Through renewable energy initiatives and efficient water conservation practices the stadium has become a beacon for Green sports facilities nationwide.
  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: The Raiders’ internal diversity reached new benchmarks in 2024 ranking in the 90th percentile for representation among the NFL teams. The employee resource groups (ERGs) such as FIERCE, BASED, PACE, and FAMILIA provide support and create opportunities for professional growth reinforcing the Raiders’ mission to empower employees from all backgrounds.

The Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are voluntary, employee-led groups whose aim is to foster a diverse, inclusive workplace aligned with the organizations they serve.

FIERCE, BASED, PACE, and FAMILIA are all employee resource groups (ERGs) of the Las Vegas Raiders.
