Shift4 to power Panthers ticket sales payments

The American payment processing company Shift4 has been selected by the National Hockey League’s (NHL’s) Florida Panthers to power payments for their ticket sales.

‘MarketScreener’ stated that the Panthers will leverage Shift4’s payments technology to provide a seamless ticketing experience through an integration with the Panthers’ ticketing partner, SeatGeek. As part of this agreement, Shift4 will become the Panthers’ Official Payments Solution Provider.

Shift4 is an American payment processing company publicly listed on the New York Stock Exchange and based in Allentown, Pennsylvania (US). The company founded in 1999 by the then 16-year-old Jared Isaacman processes payments for over 200,000 businesses in the retail, hospitality, leisure, and restaurant industries.

The Florida Panthers are a professional ice hockey team based in the Miami metropolitan area (US). They compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the Atlantic Division in the Eastern Conference.

The 19,250-capacity FLA Live Arena is an indoor arena located next to the Sawgrass Mills in Sunrise, Florida (US). It is the home venue for the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League (NHL). It was completed in 1998 at a cost of US$185 million, almost entirely publicly-financed, and features 70 suites and 2,623 club seats.

SeatGeek allows both mobile app and desktop users to browse events, view interactive color-coded seat maps, complete purchases, and receive electronic or print tickets.

‘MarketScreener’ further stated that the Florida Panthers are the 2023 Eastern Conference Champions and made their second appearance in the Stanley Cup Final in the franchise history during the 2022-2023 seasons.

The Stanley Cup Finals in ice hockey is the National Hockey League’s (NHL’s) championship series to determine the winner of the Stanley Cup, North America’s oldest professional sports trophy and one of the “most important championships available to the sport of ice hockey”, according to the International Ice Hockey Federation (the worldwide governing body for ice hockey).
