SK Rapid Wien-TUI holiday deal for fans

The top-flight Austrian football club SK Rapid Wien (Austria) and the world’s largest integrated tourism group TUI have joined hands to offer holiday packages to the club’s fans and facilitate fan travel.

The ‘SK Rapid’ stated that in mid-June, an official TUI branch will open in SK Rapid Wien’s residence – the Allianz Stadium – which will run under the name – ‘Rapid Reisen powered by TUI Das Reisebüro’. Attractive holiday packages for fans will be on offer. The top-flight’s fans will also be offered travel packages for the Hütteldorfer European Cup trips as well as trips to soccer showpieces held globally.

SK Rapid Wien, commonly known as Rapid Vienna, is an Austrian football club playing in the country’s capital City of Vienna. Rapid has won the most Austrian championship titles (32), including the first title in the season 1911-1912.

The 28,000-capacity Allianz Stadium is a football stadium in Vienna, Austria, which has been built on the site of the former Gerhard Hanappi Stadium as the new home of SK Rapid Wien. During international matches the stadium goes by the no-commercial name Weststadion.

TUI Austria Holding GmbH is part of the TUI Group, the world’s largest integrated tourism group. The ‘SK Rapid’ further stated that the Managing Director Economics/CEO of SK Rapid Wien, Christoph Peschek, observed that the above partnership would augur well for the entire community on which the stadium sits – “With the renowned travel company TUI, we now welcome another strong partner to the Rapid family fold. Our partnership with TUI will help fans who travel to watch our team play in foreign shores. This collaboration is a gesture to our die-hard fans. We will also be opening a TUI outlet in the Fan Zone of Allianz Stadium in June for the upcoming pre-season.”

Added Peschek, “The travel agency outlet in the stadium premises will hugely go to benefit Rapid fans and will also facilitate our Members to avail lucrative holiday package offers.”

Observed Markus Jurasek, Sales Manager Austria for TUI Das Reisebüro, “Our outlet in Allianz Stadium which will start functioning from mid-June will further cement our ties with Austria’s top-notch football club. We will be able to offer valuable information as well as suggestions to the Rapid fans as well as the players on their holiday plans.”
