Strategic alliance STRI Group and Wanda CTI Image: STRI Group

Wanda’s Cultural Tourism Planning & Design Institute (CTI), the subsidiary company of Wanda Cultural Industry Group, is China’s largest cultural enterprise.

A press release issued in this regard stated that the above deal will act as a catalyst for the Chinese football industry, as both the entities have carved a niche for themselves in their respective fields. The above arrangement will also lead to construction of spiffy football facilities across China.

The release further stated that the STRI Group and Wanda CTI have already established a reputation for themselves in China at the regional level. The collaboration will help set new industry standards for football surfaces in the country. A plush research and development (R&D) facility and design hub will also be set up.

STRI will support Wanda as their local design and project management company as the duo move forward with ambitious plans to build multiple football venues in different places of China.

The press statement further revealed that the R&D center plans to invite select industry stakeholders to validate as well as demonstrate their products. The crème de la crème of football pitch infrastructure will also be showcased in the center and thrust will be given on maintaining the same. STRI’s design will get further shot in the arm by teaming up with their local construction partner Tizan Turf Science.

Tizan Turf Science services the industry with a design, build, supply and operate model to provide elite football pitches and associated equipment for stadia and training facilities. As a result, it brings cutting-edge products, services and expertise to the Chinese football industry.

The press statement quoted Andrew Brooker, Company Director, STRI Group, as stating, “The cooperation is an exciting step forward for the development of new stadia and training venues in China, thus enabling facilities to compete at an international level. STRI Group is very pleased to have formed the cooperation with Wanda, who is now the world’s leading commercial real estate and sports company.”

Both the organizations will employ architects and engineers to work on the exciting projects already identified as future developments, bringing in pick of the litter multidisciplinary teams to deliver futuristic arenas.

The release concluded by stating that Wanda CTI is very excited to join hands with the STRI Group and was confident that the football facilities in China would be able to consolidate their positions further at the global level. Wanda CTI also hoped that STRI’s multidisciplinary teams will be able to infuse sustainable design ethics to the collaboration.
