The Brazilian professional football club – Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense – is all set to take over the reins of the Grêmio Arena (Brazil) by October this year.

The ‘UOL’ stated that to facilitate the above move, Marina Tranchitella – an expert hand in organizing sporting extravaganzas – was recently hired as the Operations Executive of Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense in Brazil. Her primary task will be to do a minute study on everything related to management of the venue which is presently being run by Arena Porto-Alegrense, a Specific Purpose Society.

Marina Tranchitella, Consultant Operational Management, Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense, Brazil, will be one of the Speakers at the Coliseum Online Week LATAM Worldwide to be held from July 19th-23rd, 2021.

Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense, commonly known as Grêmio, is a Brazilian professional football club based in Porto Alegre, capital City of the Brazilian State of Rio Grande do Sul.

The 60,540-capacity Arena do Grêmio is a multiuse stadium in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. It was inaugurated on December 8th, 2012. It is used mostly for football matches and serves as the home stadium of Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense, replacing the Estádio Olímpico Monumental.

Tranchitella will do a thorough examination of the stadium’s present operational plans and how to operate the venue smoothly on matchdays as well as on non-matchdays and also keep the revenue wheels moving smoothly. She will also draw out plans to offer haute cuisine to tickle the taste buds of fans who visit the facility, especially the gastronomes, as well as attracting big-ticket events. Under her purview will also come the ingress and egress aspects of the stadium.

Brazil is one nation which is still reeling under the severe impact of COVID-19 and scores of lives have been lost due to the fatal respiratory disease. The sports venue sector has also been bearing the severe blow of the pandemic. Against this background, she will also prepare a plan for the gradual return of fans to the stadium fold. However, no final date has been fixed as the country’s vaccination campaign is being marred by shortages and delays.

Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense – apart from managing the stadium – will also manage the financials of the venue.
