The global energy company GE Vernova has announced its multiyear agreement as the official naming rights sponsor for the new home of the United Soccer League (USL – organizer of various professional and amateur soccer leagues in the United States league system) League One team Greenville Triumph SC and the USL Women’s League team Greenville Liberty SC at BridgeWay Station in Mauldin, South Carolina (US).

‘greenvilletriumph.com’ stated that the landmark sponsorship underscores GE Vernova’s commitment to supporting the vibrant communities where its employees live and work. The agreement between Greenville Pro Soccer and GE Vernova was brokered by the leading global sports, music and entertainment company Wasserman.

Cambridge (US)-based GE Vernova is a purpose-built global energy company that includes Power, Wind and Electrification segments and is supported by its accelerator businesses. Building on over 130 years of experience tackling the world’s challenges GE Vernova is uniquely positioned to help lead the energy transition by continuing to electrify the world while simultaneously working to decarbonize it. GE Vernova helps customers power economies and deliver electricity that is vital to health, safety, security, and improved quality of life.

The Greenville Triumph SC is a professional soccer team based in Greenville, South Carolina, United States. The club began play in USL League One in 2019. The 16,000-capacity Paladin Stadium serves as their home ground.

The Greenville Liberty SC is an American women’s soccer team that began play in 2022 in USL W League. They are affiliated with the Greenville Triumph SC, a Men’s team in the USL League One. The Paladin Stadium also serves as their home stadium.

The BridgeWay Station is a large mixed-use development in Mauldin, South Carolina (US) that serves as a new downtown center with residential, office, retail, and dining spaces. Inspired by European architecture it includes apartments, shops, restaurants, fitness facilities, and co-working spaces and connects to the Swamp Rabbit Trail via a pedestrian bridge. It is also adjacent to a new stadium for the Greenville Triumph and the Greenville Liberty soccer teams.

Wasserman is a leading global sports, music and entertainment company that provides representation and marketing services to talent, brands and properties. Headquartered in Los Angeles (US) Wasserman’s presence spans 28 countries and more than 70 Cities.

‘greenvilletriumph.com’ further stated that the newly named GE Vernova Park will serve as a premier destination for the soccer enthusiasts and the families further energizing the local sports landscape and creating new opportunities for engagement and connection throughout the region.

Our commitment to the Upstate South Carolina area, including hiring over 500 people this year and even more planned for 2026, reflects our dedication to building a brighter future, both on and off the field.”

The GE Vernova Park at the Bridgeway Station is set to become a hub of excitement and community spirit, hosting matches, events and activities that will bring people together for years to come.

Construction is underway and the GE Vernova Park will host its first soccer matches in 2026. The stadium will seat 4,300 and have a total capacity of 6,300. In addition to hosting Men’s and Women’s soccer the venue will serve as a stage for youth sports, concerts, festivals, and community events.

The Greenville Pro Soccer is the parent organization of the Greenville Triumph Soccer Club (Men’s) and the Greenville Liberty Soccer Club (Women’s).

The project is a public-private partnership with the City of Mauldin, the State of South Carolina, the Greenville Pro Soccer, and the Hughes Investments. Earlier this year, the GE Vernova also announced the addition of 650 jobs and $160 million into the Greenville facility.

Hughes Investments is a real estate development and property management company based in Greenville, South Carolina (US) that specializes in commercial and residential projects like office, retail and mixed-use spaces.
