The Xtract One Technologies recently announced that it has signed an agreement with the Major League Baseball (MLB) team Colorado Rockies to use SmartGateway at their home ballpark – the Coors Field in Denver, Colorado (US).

‘MarketScreener’ stated that this joint development project seeks to introduce frictionless, streamlined screening and entry to the fans and patrons this baseball season. With a capacity of 50,398 at the Coors Field the Colorado Rockies were seeking an advanced screening system to replace the traditional walkthrough metal detectors.

Toronto (Canada)-based the Xtract One Technologies is a leading technology-driven threat detection and security solution leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to provide seamless and secure patron access control experiences. The company makes unobtrusive threat detection systems that enable the venue building operators to prioritize and deliver improved patron experiences while providing unprecedented safety.

The Colorado Rockies are an American professional baseball team based in Denver (US). The Rockies compete in the Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the National League

(NL) West Division. The team plays its home baseball games at the Coors Field which is located in the Lower Downtown area of Denver.

The 50,398-capacity Coors Field is a baseball stadium in downtown Denver, Colorado (US). It is the home ballpark of the Major League Baseball (MLB) team Colorado Rockies. Opened in 1995, the park is located in Denver’s Lower Downtown neighborhood, two blocks from the Union Station. The stadium has a capacity to pack in 50,144 spectators for baseball.

‘MarketScreener’ further stated that the SmartGateway reduces the time spent in long security lines allowing the individuals to walk through the security checks up to seven times faster than the average walkthrough metal detector allows. Aligning with the Rockies’ mission to conduct business with integrity, service, quality, and trust the deployment of SmartGateway’s innovative system will enhance the guests’ safety and the overall gameday experience. This strategic deployment will introduce SmartGateway to the Coors Field’s visitors showcasing innovative technology that unobtrusively scans the patrons with the AI-powered sensors, minimizes the entry line wait times and contributes to optimized venue operations.

The system uses the AI-powered sensors to quickly and accurately scan the patrons, seamlessly detecting threats without invading the guests’ privacy. The SmartGateway reduces the wait

times and enables faster entry while providing data-driven security insights that shift the security operations from reactive to proactive. Each lane is equipped with the capacity to screen up to 2,400 patrons per hour.
