Building on the asphalt event’s tremendous World Rally Championship (WRC) return in 2022, the FORUM8 Rally Japan organizers have pulled out all the stops to create an unforgettable fan experience with the addition of an all-new spectator stage within the iconic Toyota Stadium in Aichi, Japan, where the 2023 edition will be held in November this year.

‘wrc.com’ stated that the specially designed super special stage will welcome competitors once a day from Thursday to Saturday. Cars will engage in thrilling head-to-head battles within the confines of the arena under the watchful view of almost 40,000 people.

‘Rally Japan’ stated that the Rally Japan 2023 Executive Committee (Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture) will hold the FORUM8 Rally Japan 2023, the final round of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) World Rally Championship (WRC) from November 16th-19th, 2023 at the Toyota Stadium.

The World Rally Championship (WRC) is the highest level of global competition in the motorsport discipline of rallying, owned and governed by the FIA. There are separate championships for drivers, co-drivers, manufacturers, and teams.

Founded in 1904, with headquarters in Paris (France), the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) is a non-profit making association. It brings together 244 international motoring and sporting organizations from 146 countries on five continents. Its member clubs represent millions of motorists and their families.

The 2022 Rally Japan (also known as the FORUM8 Rally Japan 2022) was a motor racing event for rally cars held over four days between November 10th-13th, 2022.

The Toyota Stadium is a 45,000-seat retractable roof stadium in Toyota, Aichi Prefecture, Japan.

‘wrc.com’ further stated that adding to the excitement is the inclusion of another new and truly immersive fan experience. Those who opt for ‘Premium’ and ‘Gold’ seat packages will be treated to a ‘course walk’ which allows them to explore the special stage on foot before the cars arrive.

This groundbreaking initiative draws inspiration from the resounding success of last year’s EKO Acropolis Rally Greece, where a stage inside the 69,618-capacity Athens Olympic Stadium captivated a staggering 65,000 fans.

The 2022 Acropolis Rally (also known as the EKO Acropolis Rally Greece 2022) was a motor racing event for rally cars that was held over four days between September 8th-11th, 2022. It marked the 66th running of the Acropolis Rally. The event was the 10th round of the 2022 World Rally Championship, World Rally Championship-2 and World Rally Championship-3. The 2022 event was based in the town of Lamia in Central Greece and was contested over 16 special stages covering a total competitive distance of 303.30 km (188.46 mi).

Now, WRC is again pushing the boundaries of what is possible by bringing the excitement and spectacle of rallying right into the heart of the Toyota Stadium, which hosted the FORUM8 Rally Japan’s start ceremony and ceremonial podium in 2022.

The asphalt event once more plays host to the season finale and its 22-stage route takes crews on a journey through Japan’s stunning landscapes, showcasing the beauty and excitement of WRC to a global audience.

‘Rally Japan’ further stated that this year the final round of the WRC will be held in Toyota City, Okazaki City, Shinshiro City, Shitara Town in Aichi Prefecture, Ena City in Gifu Prefecture, and in Nakatsugawa City.

Premium special tickets will come with benefits such as ‘course walk’ where one can walk on the real course in the Toyota Stadium.

Tickets are not required for one child under the age of two for each family. However, families will have to pay if they want individual seats for the Under-2 child.

There will be no competition at the Toyota Stadium on November 19th.

The FORUM8 Rally Japan is recruiting about 700 volunteers for the spectacle.
