It’s COVID reality check for Falcons and NFL!

Just when the National Football League (NFL) thought it was out of the COVID-19 mess, the fatal respiratory disease has pulled NFL back into its dark abyss and the league’s coronavirus troubles are far from over.

The National Football League is a professional American football league consisting of 32 teams, divided equally between the National Football Conference and the American Football Conference.

The latest casualty of the dreaded disease is the NFL team Atlanta Falcons. Media reports stated that the latest team to shut down facilities following a member personnel testing positive for COVID-19 is the Falcons.

An NFL official reiterated that a member personnel had tested positive for coronavirus and not any player.

The Atlanta Falcons are already having a nightmarish season as they are biting the dust as far as matches are concerned, and their head coach Dan Quinn has been fired following the Falcons suffering a fifth straight loss to open the season.

However, misfortunes do not seem to stop chasing the Falcons. And losing matches and firing the head coach is still not as disastrous as facing the possibility of a COVID-19 outbreak. The Falcons are scheduled to play the Minnesota Vikings on October 18^th, but at this point, the status of the game comes under question.

Fortunately, it is not a player who has tested positive, so the team may be able to avoid any major scheduling changes.

For the league as a whole, many thought that the worst part of the coronavirus storm was finally over – like the Tennessee Titans experiencing an outbreak that forced several games to be moved and quarterback Cam Newton missing a game for the New England Patriots. But the NFL weathered the storm, as Titans were able to play on Tuesday after reporting no positive tests and Newton reported back with the team this week.

But, with a Falcons personnel testing coronavirus positive goes on to prove that the NFL’s COVID cup of woes continues to overflow and is not an issue that is going to go away anytime soon, no matter how much the league tries to test and protocol their problems away.

It might so happen that the NFL may seriously consider creating a playoff bubble in order to prevent the season from being shut down, as the bubble strategy has proven successful for both the National Basketball Association (NBA) and Major League Baseball (MLB).
