The rebranded home of the National Football League (NFL) team New Orleans Saints is called the Caesars Superdome (US).

‘Gwinnett Prep Sports’ stated that the Saints and Caesars Entertainment (global leader in gaming and hospitality) announced a 20-year exclusive naming rights deal on July 26th. The agreement goes hand-in-hand with Caesars’ $325 million redecoration of Harrah’s New Orleans into Caesars New Orleans.

The New Orleans Saints are a professional American football team based in New Orleans. The Saints compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member of the league’s National Football Conference South division.

The 74,295-capacity Caesars Superdome, often referred to simply as the Superdome, is a domed sports and exhibition stadium located in the Central Business District of New Orleans, Louisiana, United States.

A statement sent out by the Saints owner, Gayle Benson, read, “This partnership sends a strong message about the positive future for the New Orleans Saints, Caesars Entertainment and the entire State of Louisiana. That message states that companies with the global reach of Caesars Entertainment are investing in our City, State and region. Caesars has long been one of the world’s most respected entertainment companies.”

‘Gwinnett Prep Sports’ further stated that the deal is worth approximately $138 million and the Saints will receive all the proceeds.

The stadium, which opened in 1975, cost $134 million in public funds to build. Now the fifth-oldest NFL stadium, it is in urgent need of massive overhaul, and the Saints have pledged to put the proceeds toward that.

The Superdome didn’t have a name sponsor until 2011, when the luxury automaker Mercedes-Benz entered into a 10-year agreement worth between $50 million and $60 million. The German automaker elected against renewing the contract, which expired on July 15th.

The Caesars Superdome will host Super Bowl LIX in 2025 and the 2022 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Men’s Final Four, among hundreds of other events.

Super Bowl LIX, the 59th Super Bowl and the 55th modern-era National Football League championship game, will decide the league champion for the 2024 NFL season. The game is scheduled to be played on February 9th, 2025, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana (US).

The National Football League is a professional American football league consisting of 32 teams, divided equally between the National Football Conference and the American Football Conference.

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is a nonprofit organization that regulates student-athletes from up to 1,268 North American institutions and conferences.

Caesars is no stranger to sports sponsorship deals as the gaming group also signed a 15-year founding sponsorship deal with the Raiders and its breathtaking home the 65,000-capacity Allegiant Stadium. Caesars is also the official casino and sports betting partner of the NFL.
