FOX to air maiden MLS Thanksgiving Day match

FOX (news media) will air a Major League Soccer (MLS) playoff game on Thanksgiving Day (November 25^th, 2021) for the first time, the league announced recently.

The ‘AP’ stated that the MLS Decision Day, the final day of the regular season, is set for November 7^th. The postseason starts on November 20^th and will conclude with the MLS Cup title match on December 11^th.

New York (US)-based the FOX News Media operates the FOX News Channel (FNC), FOX Business Network (FBN), FOX News Digital, FOX News Radio, FOX News Headlines 24/7, FOX News podcasts, and the direct-to-consumer subscription streaming service FOX Nation.

The Major League Soccer (MLS) is a men’s professional soccer league sanctioned by the United States Soccer Federation, which represents the sport’s highest level in the United States and Canada. The league comprises 27 teams – 24 in the US and 3 in Canada – and plans to expand to 30 teams by the 2023 season.

The ‘AP’ further stated that all 13 postseason games will be on national television in the United States and Canada. In addition to the Fox and Fox Deportes Thanksgiving Day game, ABC and Univision’s UniMas will broadcast the final.

The TSN and TVA Sports networks will air every MLS postseason match in Canada.

Major League Soccer has never played a match on Thanksgiving Day. The broadcast on FOX will follow the National Football League (NFL) game between the Chicago Bears and the Detroit Lions.
