Jakarta venue shine in all splendors

The Jakarta International Stadium (Indonesia) opened its doors for staging the International Youth Championship (IYC) 2022 on April 13^th, 2022. The stadium with a capacity to hold 82,000 spectators holds a lot of allure.

The ‘World Today News’ stated that the International Youth Championship 2022 was the first event to be held at the Jakarta International Stadium after it got completed. It was held from April 13^th-19^th, 2022.

Four teams participated at the event – Indonesia All Star U-20, Bali United U-18, Atlético Madrid U-18, and Barcelona U-18.

The Jakarta International Stadium is a retractable roof football stadium in Tanjung Priok, Jakarta, Indonesia. The stadium had a soft opening on April 13^th, 2022 with the start of the above sporting showpiece.

The ‘World Today News’ further stated that the Jakarta International Stadium shines out and is visible from the highway. LED lights have been installed on the outer shield (façade) of the facility and it glows in different colors during night time resulting in a riot of colors.

The media space sits on the second floor of the venue. The soccer-specific stadium shines in all its splendors and towers above the rest.

Limited spectators were allowed for the above sporting event. The sightlines are clear and the venue boasts no running track which is otherwise a high point of the majority of stadia in Indonesia. Fans can enjoy the pitch action at close quarters. The movement of players are clearly visible to the spectators and the coaches’ instructions to players can be clearly heard by the fans. This is a feature which majority of the venues in Indonesia do not enjoy until and unless fans are seated in the VIP zone.

Orange single-seats have been placed in almost all corners of the facility which slowly goes on to create a gradation of colors. The roof of the arena is a retractable one that covers all stands of the stadium. The retractable roof can be moved inwards or backwards in case there is heavy downpour or extreme weather conditions.

Gigantic screens adorn two corners of the arena. Both screens measure 15 x 30 meters and displays the scores. The stadium boasts hybrid grass pitch.

The Jakarta International Stadium has elbowed out the 77,193-capacity Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (SUGBK) in Central Jakarta as the state-of-the-art and largest venue in Indonesia.
