The Rod Carew National Stadium in Panama City, Panama, will be refurbished totally following the green signal given by the Government of Panama to the project.

The ‘Archysport’ stated that the remodeling work price tag stands at six million 966 thousand, 311 balboas (£5.61m/€6.64m/$7m). The redecorated venue will have to be ready before the World Baseball Classic Qualifiers to be held in September this year in Panama.

The Estadio Nacional de Panama, also called the Rod Carew National Stadium, is a multipurpose stadium in Panama City, Panama. The stadium has a capacity of 27,000 and was built in 1999.

It is currently used mostly for baseball matches from the national league and Panama national baseball team matches. It has also hosted many international baseball competitions as well as several concerts and different types of events.

The ‘Archysport’ further stated that the refurbished work of the stadium is expected to be completed by the end of October this year.

The entire playing field will be replaced, while a new drainage system will be installed. The locker rooms and dugouts will be remodeled, while new broadcast facilities will be introduced and the stadium’s acoustics too will get a shot in the arm. The stadium lighting will be upgraded to LED standards, among other improvements.

Existing seats will be removed and 10,000 new ones with Major League Baseball (MLB) specifications will be installed. Further, 5,000 seats will be upgraded.
