Via a “family-first” strategy, the world’s leading venue management company ASM Global’s Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York (US) is shattering nearly a half century of attendance records most recently with the Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live Glow Party, which produced the highest-grossing shows and ticket sales for the property’s newest tour.

‘ASM Global’ stated that this continues a highly successful run of family shows in recent years at the storied venue including Cirque du Soleil’s Musica (Canadian entertainment company) and Volta tours (tour by the singer Björk), American rock band Trans-Siberian Orchestra, ACE Comic Con (world-renowned comic creators digital streaming), Jurassic Quest (interactive experience), the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) (American professional wrestling promotion), and the Empire State Fair.

Los Angeles, California (US)-based ASM Global is the world’s leading producer of entertainment experiences. It is the global leader in venue and event strategy and management – delivering locally tailored solutions and cutting-edge technologies to achieve maximum results for venue owners. The company’s elite venue network spans five continents, with a portfolio of more than 350 of the world’s most prestigious arenas, stadiums, convention and exhibition centers, and performing arts venues.

The 14,500-capacity Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum is a multipurpose indoor arena in Uniondale, New York, East of New York City (US). The Long Island venue is approximately seven miles East of the Eastern limits of the New York City Borough of Queens, and is also next to the Meadowbrook Parkway.

ASM Global Executive Vice President of Stadiums and Arenas Doug Thornton said, “We’ve worked hard in this market to set a bar that few other properties can match. Because of its placement in the center of Long Island and New York City’s suburbs, it was a natural to leverage the family needs. It’s a strategy that’s pleasing millions of our guests in the appropriate markets around the United States.”

Nassau Coliseum General Manager Joseph Zino cited historical ticket data reflecting 60 percent of ticket sales to families with children – “There are 3 million residents living in Nassau and Suffolk counties – all East of Queens. Nassau’s central location makes it conveniently accessible via major roadways and transportation hubs with acres of ample parking. Combined with ASM Global’s increasing entertainment booking prowess, we have a winning combination unique in the industry. We are absolutely a favorite family destination.”

Added Nick Shane, Family Entertainment Live, Vice-President of Booking, “Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live’s partnership with ASM Global has been record setting multiple times over the past six months, culminating with three sellouts in Uniondale, New York, at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Joe Zino, Julyett Spoltore and the entire Nassau Coliseum team are fantastic partners. We look forward to raising the bar and continuing to shatter records together for years to come.”

‘ASM Global’ further stated that Hot Wheels (American brand of scale model cars) joins events like the Empire State Fair and Jurassic Quest that were so successful in 2022 that they have extended their Nassau 2023 dates.
