As the CAA ICON business continues to expand across the United Kingdom and Europe, the strategic management consulting firm announced recently that Richard Seymour has joined the CAA ICON team to the newly created position of Strategic Advisory Director based in London.

A division of CAA Sports, Denver (US)-based CAA ICON is the industry-leading owner’s representative and strategic management consulting firm for public/private sports and entertainment facility owners and operations, professional franchises and leagues.

The Creative Artists Agency LLC (CAA) is an American talent and sports agency based in Los Angeles, California. It is regarded as an influential company in the talent agency business and manages numerous clients.

The ‘CAA ICON LinkedIn post’ quoted Richard Seymour, Strategic Advisory Director, UK, as stating, “I am thrilled to join CAA ICON and help expand the strategic advisory business in the UK and Europe. Seymour joins CAA ICON armed with nearly two decades of rich experience spanning feasibility, consumer research and insight, data analysis, and sponsorship rights strategy.

Throughout his career, he has worked on behalf of many of the top sports and entertainment teams, venues and rights holders and multinational brands.

In his new role, Seymour will lead CAA ICON’s strategic advisory venue advisory projects, and manage business planning efforts in the United Kingdom and Europe, providing marketing/financial feasibility analyzes, negotiation advisory and valuation for sports teams, leagues and stadium and arena clients.

Prior to CAA ICON, Seymour served a stint as Director of Data Strategy and Commercialization for The CLV Group, where he oversaw insight projects for the company’s sports and entertainment clients. Previously, he served as Director, Global Planning for Legends International, managing the European business planning and feasibility team and projects across UK and Europe and also served as Head of Consulting for Nielsen Sports UK & Ireland. He also boasts stints with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, and Tesco PLC.
