France not to host Six Nations Games in Paris

France will host their home Six Nations games away from Paris for the first time, tournament organizers said on May 29th, announcing Marseille, Lille and Lyon as the new venues for next year’s edition.

‘Reuters’ stated that France, who have so far played their home games at the Stade de France in Paris, will begin next year’s championship on February 2nd against Ireland in Marseille before hosting Italy in Lille for their round three fixture on February 25th.

The 2022 Grand Slam-winning team will then face England in Lyon on March 16th.

The Six Nations Championship (known as the Guinness Six Nations for sponsorship reasons) is an annual international men’s rugby union competition between the teams of England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland, and Wales. The current champions are Ireland, who won the 2023 tournament. March 16th.

The Stade de France is the national stadium of France, located just North of Paris in the commune of Saint-Denis. Its seating capacity of 80,698 makes it the sixth-largest stadium in Europe. The stadium is used by the France national football team and the France rugby union team for international competition.
