From July 1st, 2026, Europe’s largest indoor arena – the Paris La Défense Arena (France) – will be known as the Plenitude Arena with the major energy company Plenitude becoming its naming rights partner.

‘PARIS LA DEFENSE ARENA’ stated that the above naming rights partnership, with a minimum duration of seven years, marks the coming together of two organizations that shares a common vision of excellence, innovation and audience experience. The naming rights partnership will establish the Paris La Défense Arena as a global benchmark for live entertainment.

The 30,680-seat Paris La Défense Arena (soon to be named the Plenitude Arena) is a multipurpose indoor arena in Nanterre, a Western suburb of Paris, France.

Plenitude is a company controlled by the Italian energy major Eni that integrates production from renewables, the sale of energy, energy services, and a large network of electric vehicle charging points. It currently provides energy to over 11 million households and businesses across Europe with the objective of reaching 15 million by 2030. In France, Plenitude is present through the company Plenitude France, the fourth-largest energy supplier in the residential market in France as well as in the renewable energy sector with approximately 1 GW of installed capacity.

Sustainability First

Asserted Frédéric Longuépée, President, Paris La Défense Arena, “The Paris La Défense Arena has become a benchmark in Europe and is now at a pivotal moment in its development. From the outset we have stressed on environmental responsibility. The above deal with Plenitude best demonstrates our Green goal: To join forces with a player who shares our vision of a large, innovative, responsible venue focused on the audience experience. We share the same belief: Environmental responsibility is not a cost, it is a driver of performance.”

‘PARIS LA DEFENSE ARENA’ further stated that a European player present in more than 15 countries Plenitude has established itself as one of the leaders in energy transition with an integrated model covering the production of renewable energies, the supply of electricity and gas, energy efficiency, and electric mobility.

Shared Ambition

The arrival of Plenitude as a naming rights partner marks a new stage in the Paris La Défense Arena’s development. Beyond the merging of two brands this partnership is based on a shared ambition: To leverage Plenitude’s energy expertise for the benefit of the venue in order to optimize its energy consumption and support its transition to an increasingly efficient and responsible model. This collaboration reinforces the arena’s commitment to sustainable and innovative operations.

Alongside Plenitude, the arena aims to accelerate the development of concrete solutions that combine event excellence, technological innovation and energy efficiency. The shared objective is clear: To create live experiences high on the quotient of sustainability.

Innovative Systems

The above collaboration will result in the gradual deployment of innovative systems within the arena including:

  • The installation of an electric charging station hub via Plenitude On The Road;
  • The implementation of energy optimization tools;
  • The development of solutions aimed at reducing energy consumption; and
  • Initiatives to raise public awareness on environmental and energy issues.

The major events will be held at the arena in a sustainable manner. The venue has established itself as a big player when it comes to staging sports, live entertainment and major international events. Hundred events are scheduled for the 2026-2027 seasons and nearly three million spectators are expected this first season when the arena will take on the name Plenitude Arena.

With the above naming rights deal the Plenitude Arena aims to be a reference point in the events industry.
