The 2024 Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Super Cup will be held at the National Stadium in Warsaw, Poland, on August 14th next year.

‘UEFA’ stated that the stadium was originally built for the UEFA EURO 2012, during which it hosted all three of Poland’s group games as well as the quarter-final and semi-final. It has since staged the UEFA Europa League final in 2015 and is the regular home of the Poland men’s national team.

Nyon (Switzerland)-based the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) is one of six continental bodies of governance in association football. It governs football, futsal and beach football in Europe and the transcontinental countries of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Kazakhstan, as well as some Asian countries such as Israel, Cyprus and Armenia. The UEFA consists of 55 national association members. Because of the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, the FIFA and UEFA suspended all Russian national teams and clubs from any FIFA and UEFA competitions.

The UEFA Super Cup is an annual Super Cup football match organized by the UEFA and contested by the winners of the two main European club competitions – the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League. The competition’s official name was originally the Super Competition and later the European Super Cup.

The UEFA Champions League is an annual club association football competition organized by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and contested by the top-division European clubs, deciding the competition winners through a round robin group stage to qualify for a double-legged knockout format and a single leg final. It is the most-watched club competition in the world.

The UEFA Europa League is an annual football club competition organized since 1971 by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) for the eligible European football clubs. It is the second-tier competition of European club football.

The 58,580-capacity Stadion Narodowy im. Kazimierza Górskiego, known for sponsorship reasons as the PGE Narodowy since 2015, is a retractable roof football stadium located in Warsaw, Poland. It is used mostly for concerts and football matches and is the home stadium of the Poland national football team.

‘UEFA’ further stated that this venue will be the 12th to stage the UEFA Super Cup since the fixture switched from its long-term home of Monaco, after Prague (Czechia) (2013), Cardiff (UK) (2014), Tbilisi (Georgia) (2015), Trondheim (Norway) (2016), Skopje (North Macedonia) (2017), Tallinn (Estonia) (2018), Istanbul (Türkiye) (2019), Budapest (Hungary) (2020), Belfast (UK) (2021), Helsinki (Finland) (2022) and Piraeus (Greece) (2023).

The Premier League club Manchester City F.C. (UK) won the 2023 UEFA Super Cup beating the LaLiga club Sevilla FC (Spain) on penalties following a 1-1 draw at the 33,334-capacity Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium in Piraeus, Greece.
