Both the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) will return to Perth (Australia) later this year as part of a blockbuster new four-event deal that will run until the end of 2026.

‘ESPN’ stated that in an announcement held in Perth recently it was revealed that the premium sports and entertainment company TKO Group Holdings, Inc. and the Western Australia Government has partnered to bring both organizations to the RAC Arena, the City staking its claim to being Australia’s combat sports hub.

Las Vegas (US)-based the Ultimate Fighting Championship is an American mixed martial arts promotion company based in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is owned and operated by the TKO Group Holdings, Inc., a majority-owned subsidiary of the Endeavor Group Holdings.

Stamford (US)-based the TKO Group Holdings, Inc. is a premium sports and entertainment company. The TKO owns iconic properties including the UFC, the world’s premier mixed martial arts organization, the WWE, the global leader in sports entertainment and the Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR), the world’s premier bull riding organization. Together, these properties reach 210 countries and territories and organize more than 500 live events year-round attracting more than three million fans.

The Endeavor Group Holdings, Inc. (formerly William Morris Endeavor and WME-IMG) is an American holding company for talent and media agencies with its primary offices in Beverly Hills, California.

Stamford (US)-based the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is an American professional wrestling promotion. It is owned and operated by the TKO Group Holdings, a majority-owned subsidiary of the Endeavor Group Holdings.

The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) is an international professional bull riding organization headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, United States. It is the largest bull riding league in the world sanctioning hundreds of events every year in the United States, Canada, Brazil, and Australia. Over 800 bull riders from these four countries as well as others hold PBR memberships.

The 15,500-capacity Perth Arena (known commercially as the RAC Arena) is an entertainment and sporting arena in the City Center of Perth, Australia, used mostly for basketball matches.

‘ESPN’ further stated that as part of the contract a UFC pay-per-view event will be staged at a yet-to-be-determined date. This will be in addition to the UFC Fight Night that will take place later this year, an event that was negotiated under a previous agreement with the Western Australia Government.

There will be three more opportunities to catch the WWE with a SmackDown (an American professional wrestling television program), a Premium Live Event (the crown jewels of the wrestling calendar delivering a monthly dose of high-octane action for the WWE Universe) and Raw (an American professional wrestling television program) all to feature over the next 20 months.

Remarked Roger Cook, Western Australia Premier, “The return of UFC and WWE in 2025 is a major coup for Western Australia following the roaring success of UFC 284 (a mixed martial arts event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship that took place on February 12th, 2023 at the RAC Arena in Perth) and the WWE Elimination Chamber (a Connecticut-based professional wrestling promotion) that collectively injected nearly $50 million into our economy last year. Both the UFC and the WWE have proven to be huge drawcards with a dedicated fan base and we expect to see thousands of out-of-State visitors travel to Perth to attend these blockbusters.”

Further details for all the five upcoming UFC and WWE events, including the ticket on-sale dates, the bout cards and the participating WWE Superstars, will be announced in the months ahead.
