A new era is on the horizon as the LaLiga team Getafe CF (Spain) have unveiled plans for a brand-new stadium.

‘getafecf.com’ stated that the Getafe CF and the construction services company of Spain Amenabar have signed an agreement as part of which the latter is in charge of building the New Coliseum Stadium. The construction work got rolling on June 9^th.

The Getafe CF is a Spanish professional football club based in Getafe, a City in the Community of Madrid (Spain). They compete in LaLiga, the top tier of Spanish football. The team is playing its home matches in the 16,500-capacity Coliseum Stadium since 1998.

The 16,500-capacity Coliseum Stadium is a Municipality-owned football stadium in Getafe, Spain. It is the home ground of the Getafe CF.

Gipuzkoa (Spain)-based Amenabar is a leading construction company known for its commitment to quality, innovation and sustainability in all its projects. The venue project is scheduled to be completed in less than 30 months’ time and the facility will come armed with futuristic facilities which the home stadia of the elite football clubs of the world boast. It is scheduled to open in 2028.

The Getafe CF has made its mark in LaLiga and has consolidated its position by making it to two Copa del Rey (an annual knockout football competition in Spanish football) Finals and participating in the European competitions thrice.
